National Library Readers Forum

About the National Library Readers Forum

Founded in 2008, the National Library Readers Forum (formerly: the National Library Readers Association) first addressed conditions in the Givat Ram building and then followed the development of the planned library and its new building. One of our main objectives was to represent the public’s voice in the planning of the new library and to ensure that the building would meet the needs of researchers, readers, and the general public.

With the relocation to the new building, we continue to maintain contact with the administration, which remains responsive to readers’ comments and requests. We invite all those who see the National Library of Israel as a vital resource in the twenty-first century, including scholars, students, and the public at large, to join its ranks and its 350-member mailing list. We can be contacted at our new email: [email protected]. We solicit your suggestions and comments. Our aim is to be part of the process of developing a National Library that best meets public and academic needs.
