La Co·ru·ña
(lä′ kə-ro͞on′yə, kō-ro͞o′nyä) A city of northwest Spain on the Atlantic Ocean west of Oviedo. Perhaps predating Roman times, it was the point of departure for the Spanish Armada (1588).
