Fluffy Flowery Dress 💮

Image
I found a new sewing magazine when I visited Poland, and this is one of the pattern I had to try. It's a wrap dress, but I decided to cut the front skirt as one part. I decided to make short sleeves since it's a summer dress. The facing is stitched together and I have iron vliseline on the wrong side. The front shoulders are gathered to match the back-part. The short sleeves are gathered at the shoulders as well. The skirt is rather wide, but I have a rubber-band at the waist.

Wrap Top !

I had a bit fabric left after I made the  Jersey Wrap Dress , and it was exactly enough to make this wrap top. The cap-sleeves are made in double layers. I attached the cap-sleeves before sewing the side seams. I also stitched a double bias around the neck first. The top is finished and I love the marbled fabric :)  I omitted the waist-band. Pattern from BurdaStyle 04/2007.

Maxi Wrap Dress!

My niese wanted to have a wrapped maxi dress. She found this pattern that she wanted me to try :) I have cut all the pieces of the fabric. The sleeves has a seam for the split and narrow cuffs. The dress has side pockets in the seams. I understitch the front part of the pockets. The tie-band are made from a double layer and I have made an opening at the right side seam. The front facing is made without vliseline, but I have used vliseline for the back facing and it goes all around the neck.  The sleeve hem are gathered and the cuffs are stitched on the sleeve. I have handstitched the hem. I think she looks amazing in her new dress! 💕 BurdaStyle pattern #111 08/2013

Jersey Wrap Dress!

I wanted to make a wrap dress and I was looking through old Burda magazines. I found a wrap-pattern that I like in a magazine from 04/2007. I stitched the bias around the neck and front pieces with the overlock,  and top stitched it afterwards. The cap-sleeves are made of double layer. The upper part is gathered at the upper layer on the left side with a connecting belt. I found this pattern in an old Burda magazine from 04/2007.
