In an ink agitating device in which the body supporting the agitator head 8 is slidably moved along a path parallel to the ductor roller 1 by an endless chain 15, the head 8 is rotated through the interengagement of a gear-wheel 12 and a stationary chain 20 fixed between two points in a straight line also parallel to the ductor roller.
