Abstract

1,059,160. Inking-apparatus. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG - NURNBERG A.G. May 28, 1965 [June 23, 1964], No. 22892/65. Inking apparatus suitable for use in a multi-colour perfecting press comprises at least one fountain 2 for black ink containing a fountain roller 1, a fountain 6 for coloured ink containing a fountain roller 7 and mounted parallel to the fountain 2, and means for moving both fountains 2 and 6 simultaneously along guide rails 8 so as to locate the selected fountain roller in operative engagement with a feed roller 3. The fountain 2 and the roller 1 may be divided longitudinally, Fig. 2 (not shown). The fountains may be moved hydraulically. pneumatically, or by a hand crank 14. A cleaning liquid may be dripped on to a distributing roller 5 in the ink train, the issue being collected by an arrangement indicated by numerals 17-19.
