Description

R1は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、D、F、Cl、Br、I、B(OR3)2、CHO、C(O)R3、CR3=C(R3)2、CN、COOR3、CON(R3)2、Si(R3)3、N(R3)2、NO2、P(=O)(R3)2、OSO2R3、OH、S(=O)R3、S(=O)2R3、1〜40個のC原子を有する直鎖アルキル、アルコキシもしくはチオアルキル基、3〜40個のC原子を有する分岐あるいは環状アルキル、アルコキシもしくはチオアルキル基、2〜40個のC原子を有するアルケニルもしくはアルキニル基(上記言及した基は、夫々1以上の基R3により置換されてよく、上記言及した基中の1以上の隣接するもしくは隣接しないCH2基は、-R3C=CR3-、-C≡C-、Si(R3)2、Ge(R3)2、Sn(R3)2、C=O、C=S、C=Se、C=NR3、-COO-、-CONR3-、NR3、P(=O)(R3)、-O-、-S-、SOもしくはSO2で置き代えられてよく、ここで、上記言及した基中の1以上のH原子は、D、F、Cl、Br、I、CNもしくはNO2で置き代えられてよい。)または、各場合に、1以上の基R3により置換されてよい5〜60個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造、または、1以上の基R3で置換されてよい5〜60個の芳香族環原子を有するアリールオキシもしくはヘテロアリールオキシ基またはこれらの構造の組合わせであり;ここで、2個以上の基R1は、たがいに結合してもよく、および環もしくは環構造を形成してよく;
R3は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、D、F、1〜20個のC原子を有する脂肪族、芳香族および/または複素環式芳香族有機基であって、さらに、1以上のH原子は、DもしくはFで置き代えられてよく;ここで、2個以上の置換基R3は、たがいに結合してもよく、および環もしくは環構造を形成してよい。
Xは、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、CRA、CR1、CまたはNであり、ここで、式毎の少なくとも一つの基XはCRAである必要があり、破線または連続線または基Lが、当の位置で結合するならば、Xは、Cであり;
Lは、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、C(R1)2、R1C=CR1、Si(R1)2、C=O、C=NR1、O、S、SO2、PR1、POR1またはNR1から選ばれる二価の基であり;
ここで、RAとR1は、上記定義されるとおりであり;
および、ここで、式(I)の基への二個の結合は、二個の破線により再現され、左側の破線は、基Ar1からカルバゾール基への結合を示し、右側の破線は、基Ar1から窒素原子への結合を示す。
Lは、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、C(R1)2、C=O、O、SおよびNR1から選ばれる二価の基である。
Xは、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、CRA、CR1またはNであり、ここで、式毎の少なくとも一つのXはCRAである必要があり;
Lは、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、C(R1)2、R1C=CR1、Si(R1)2、C=O、C=NR1、O、S、SO2、PR1、POR1またはNR1であり;
ここで、基RAとR1は上記定義されるとおりであり;
および、ここで、式(I)の基への二個の結合は、二個の破線により再現され、左側の破線は、基Ar1からカルバゾール基への結合を示し、右側の破線は、基Ar1から窒素原子への結合を示す。
X1〜X12は、CRAおよびCHから選ばれ、ここで、式(I−1)〜(I−12)毎の少なくとも一つの基X1〜X12は、CRAである。
(A)スズキ重合;
(B)ヤマモト重合;
(C)スチル重合および
(D)ハートウイッグ-ブッフバルト重合。
特に、好ましいのは、アノード、カソードおよび少なくとも一つの発光層を含む有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子であって、発光層、正孔輸送層もしくは他の層であってよい少なくとも一つの有機層は、少なくとも一つの式(I)の化合物を含むことを特徴とするものである。
以下の合成は、他に断らない限り、保護ガス雰囲気下で行われる。出発材料は、ALDRICHまたはABCRから購入される。
まず、脱気された9-フェニル-3-(4,4,5,5-テトラメチル-1,3,2-ジオキサボロラン-2-イル)-9H-カルバゾール(77.0g、209ミリモル)、次いで、脱気された4-ブロモ-2-メチルフェニルアミン(42.7g、229ミリモル)および引き続きテトラキスフェニルホスフィンパラジウム(12.0g、10ミリモル)が、トルエン(1.5l)、ジオキサン(600ml)と2M炭酸カリウム溶液(1.04l)の混合物に添加される。反応混合物は、90℃で20時間撹拌され、仕上げのため室温まで冷却され、トルエンと水で希釈される。有機相は分離され、水で洗浄され、乾燥され、蒸発される。シリカゲル(ヘプタン/トルエン/ジクロロメタン)による残留物の濾過後、2-メチル-4-(9-フェニル-9H-カルバゾール-3-イル)フェニルアミンが、黄色油状物の形で単離される(28.0g、理論値の39%)。
1,1'-ビス(ジフェニルホスフィノ)フェロセン(408mg、0.7ミリモル)、酢酸パラジウム(165mg、0.7ミリモル)とナトリウムtert-ブトキシド(6.1g、64ミリモル)が、脱気されたトルエン(100ml)中の2-メチル-4-(9-フェニル-9H-カルバゾール-3-イル)フェニルアミン(24.6mg、49ミリモル)と2-ブロモ-9,9-ジメチル-9H-フルオレン(13.4g、49ミリモル)溶液に添加され、混合物は、還流下、2時間加熱される。反応混合物は、室温まで冷却され、トルエンで希釈され、まず、セライトで、引き続きシリカゲルにより濾過される。さらなるカラム濾過(酢酸エチル/ヘプタン)により薄黄色の固形物が得られ、ソックスレー抽出機によりヘプタンで抽出され、ヘプタンから何度も再結晶化され、(9,9-ジメチル-9H-フルオレン-2-イル)-[2-メチル-4-(9-フェニル-9H-カルバゾール-3-イル)フェニル]アミンが薄黄色の固形物の形で得られる(12.4g、理論値の47%)。
1,1'-ビス(ジフェニルホスフィノ)フェロセン(191mg、0.3ミリモル)、酢酸パラジウム(77mg、0.3ミリモル)とナトリウムtert-ブトキシド(2.9g、30ミリモル)が、脱気されたトルエン(50ml)中の(9,9-ジメチル-9H-フルオレン-2-イル)-[2-メチル-4-(9-フェニル-9H-カルバゾール-3-イル)フェニル]アミン(12.4g、23ミリモル)と4-ブロモ-ビフェニル(5.4g、23ミリモル)溶液に添加され、混合物は、還流下、20時間加熱される。反応混合物は、室温まで冷却され、トルエンで希釈され、まず、セライトで、引き続き酸化アルミニウムにより濾過される。粗生成物は、ヘプタンから何度も再結晶化され、真空昇華により二度精製される(p=3×10−4mbar、T=301℃)。生成物ビフェニル-4-イル-(9,9-ジメチル-9H-フルオレン-2-イル)-[2-メチル-4-(9-フェニル-9H-カルバゾール-3-イル)フェニル]アミンは、薄黄色の固形物の形で単離される(3.3g、理論値の21%、HPLCによる純度>99.9%)。
OLEDが、WO 2004/058911にしたがう一般的プロセスにより製造されるが、ここに記載される状況(層の厚さの変化、使用される材料)に適合される。
Claims (6)
- 式(I)の化合物を発光層でマトリックス材料として用いることを特徴とする有機エレクトロルミッセンス素子;
Ar1は、以下の式Ar1−21およびAr 1 −22の一つであり:
Xは、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、CRA またはCR1であり、ここで、式毎の少なくとも一つのXは、CRAである必要があり;
および、ここで、式(I)の基への二個の結合は、二個の破線により再現され、左側の破線は、基Ar1からカルバゾール基への結合を示し、右側の破線は、基Ar1から窒素原子への結合を示し;
Ar 2 は、1以上の基R 1 で置換されてよい6〜12個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族環構造であり;
RAは、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、1以上の基R 3 により置換されてよい1〜8個のC原子を有する直鎖アルキル基または3〜8個のC原子を有する分岐アルキル基であり;
R1は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、D、1〜20個のC原子を有する直鎖アルキル基、3〜20個のC原子を有する分岐あるいは環状アルキル基(上記言及した基は、夫々1以上の基R3により置換されてよい。)または、各場合に、1以上の基R3により置換されてよい5〜20個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造であり;
R3は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、D、F、1〜20個のC原子を有する脂肪族、芳香族および/または複素環式芳香族有機基であって、さらに、1以上のH原子は、DもしくはFで置き代えられてよく;ここで、2個以上の置換基R3は、たがいに結合してもよく、および環もしくは環構造を形成してよく;
および、ここで、基R1は、式(I)中の芳香族環の任意の自由な位置で結合してよい。 - 基RAは、窒素に対して一または二個のオルト位で基Ar1に結合することを特徴とする、請求項1記載の有機エレクトロルミッセンス素子。
- 発光層は、燐光ドーパントを含む請求項1記載の有機エレクトロルミッセンス素子。
- 発光層は、式(I)の化合物に加えて、燐光ドーパントと第2のマトリックス材料とを含む請求項1記載の有機エレクトロルミッセンス素子。
