Abstract
501,504. Flyer spindle apparatus. BRAMBATI, P. Aug. 31,1937, No. 25378/38. Convention date, Aug. 31, 1936. Divided out of 501,455. [Class 120 (ii)] In flyer spinning-machines provided with overhead driven flyers, such as described in Specification 501,455, the flyers, arranged in staggered rows and driven from a shaft 35 and bevel and helicoidal gearing 38, 39 in an enclosed casing, Fig. 2, are formed with a single log 41 and balancing means, the presser 43, Fig. 5, being shaped to embrace the hollow leg. A stationary cap 51 may be arranged at the entrance to the flyer and an air current supplied through valve connections 44, 45, may be used to facilitate insertion of the roving The balancing means may be of various shapes Figs. 7 and 8 (not shown), or a loaded disc 48, Fig. 9, may be provided which serves also to shield the roving from air currents.
