Abstract

1328737 Masted lift trucks CLARK EQUIPMENT CO 6 Oct 1971 [28 Oct 1970] 46414/71 Heading B8H To facilitate accurate positioning of the fork of a lift truck with respect to storage racks and pallets supported therein, the fork assembly is provided with a light source and optical system for producing a thin beam of light 62, 64 adjacent each side of the fork. The incidence of the light beam on the pallets and on the racks gives the operator an indication of the position of the fork. A collimated light beam from the light source and optical system within a housing 24, Fig. 3 (not shon), is reflected downwardly through a hollow fork assembly member 28 on to a conical reflector 54.
