Abstract

1,118,486. Washing machines. GENERAL MOTORS CORP. 13 April, 1967 [29 April, 1966], No. 17014/67. Addition to 1,080,521. Heading D1A. A dispenser device 140 for a washing machine having a vertically reciprocable agitator 22 for washing and a rotary tub for spin drying, is attached to the top of the agitator 22 and comprises an inner cup 146 of flat parabolic form and an outer cover 144 having a cap 148 and a depending flange 147. During agitation the additive, such as a rinse agent or fabric softener, is retained in the inner chamber 152. During spin-drying the additive is centrifuged into the outer chamber 158 and subsequently into the tub through drain openings 162.
