Abstract

本实用新型涉及一种电连接器。
背景技术
电连接器(electrical connector)泛指所有应用在电子信号及电源上的连接元件及其附属配件,是所有信号的桥梁,其质量会对电流与信号传输的可靠度产生影响,且也与电子装置的运作息息相关。一般言,各式电子装置(如:智能型手机、平板计算机、桌面计算机、笔记本电脑、数字相机等)上均已设有各种类型的电连接器,以使各个电子装置能相互交换数据,故可知,电连接器能在装置与装置、元件与元件、系统与系统之间进行电连接和信号传递,因此电连接器为构成一个完整系统所需要的基础元件。
电连接器作为多个电子装置之间的重要沟通桥梁,其对于传输信号质量与速度的影响也日趋受到重视。有鉴于此,如何在确保电连接器在不大幅增加体积或大幅改变原有结构的情况下,提升其高频与高速传输效能,即为本申请探讨的一大课题。
实用新型内容
为了至少部分地解决现有技术中存在的问题,根据本实用新型的一个方面,提供一种电连接器。电连接器包括:绝缘壳体,所述绝缘壳体的背面设置有插槽;以及设置在所述绝缘壳体上的多个导体,所述多个导体沿着纵向方向排列,所述多个导体包括多个第一信号导体和多个第一接地导体,其中,所述绝缘壳体的正面暴露所述多个导体,所述插槽暴露所述多个第一接地导体,且所述插槽用于接收间隔构件。
示例性地,所述绝缘壳体具有第一段和第二段,所述第一段和所述第二段沿着所述纵向方向间隔开,所述多个第一信号导体、所述多个第一接地导体和所述插槽位于所述第一段上,所述多个导体还包括多个第二信号导体,所述多个第二信号导体位于所述第二段上。

如图1-5所示,根据本实用新型的一个方面,提供一种电连接器。电连接器可以包括卡缘连接器等。卡缘连接器可以用于连接内存卡等电子卡。在图中所示的实施例中,电连接器为插头电连接器。插头电连接器可以与插座电连接器插接,从而可以使多个电子装置之间传输信号。在图中未示出的其他实施例中,电连接器也可以为插座电连接器。插座电连接器可以与插头电连接器插接,从而使多个电子装置之间可以传输信号。
电连接器可以包括绝缘壳体100和多个导体200。多个导体200可以设置在绝缘壳体100上。多个导体200彼此间隔开设置,以确保导体200彼此之间电绝缘。绝缘壳体100的正面可以暴露多个导体200,例如暴露导体200的前端。这样,当该电连接器与适配的电连接器(未示出)接合时,导体200可以与适配的电连接器上的导体电耦合。当该电连接器作为插头电连接器时,多个导体200的前端从绝缘壳体100的正面凸出出来,以便插入到插座电连接器中与其中的导体耦合。当该电连接器作为插座电连接器时,绝缘壳体100的正面可以设置有接收槽,接收槽的侧壁可以暴露这些导体200的前端。接收槽可以接收适配的插头电连接器,也可以接收适配的电子卡。于是,可选地,该电连接器也可以直接与其他电子装置接合,而非通过适配的电连接器转接。绝缘壳体100的背面可以暴露多个导体200的后端,以便该电连接器安装至电路板(未示出)上时,多个导体200与电路板上的导体电耦合。
多个导体200可以沿着纵向方向(即电连接器的长度方向)排列。在附图中,X表示纵向方向;Y表示横向方向(即电连接器的宽度方向);纵向方向X与横向方向Y互相垂直。在一个实施例中,多个导体200可以包括多个第一信号导体211和多个第一接地导体212。多个第一信号导体211和多个第一接地导体212可以交替设置。在图中所示的实施例中,相邻的一对第一信号导体211可以用于传输差分信号,每对第一信号导体211之间可以由第一接地导体212间隔开。在图中未示出的其他实施例中,多个第一信号导体211和多个第一接地导体212还可以以任意其他方式排列,以适用于不同类型的电连接器。
绝缘壳体100的背面可以设置有插槽130。插槽130可以暴露多个第一接地导体212。插槽130的形状可以是任意的,只要能够暴露多个第一接地导体212即可。插槽130用于接收间隔构件300。后文将对间隔构件300进行详述。
多个导体200通常与绝缘壳体100单独制造,而后一一对应地安装在绝缘壳体100上的多个导体安装槽102内,如图5和7所示。通常情况下,为了简化结构,信号导体和接地导体具有大体一致的尺寸,由此,多个导体安装槽102可以具有一致的尺寸。在此情况下,插槽130可以暴露多个第一信号导体211。具体地说,插槽130的侧壁可以暴露多个第一信号导体211和多个第一接地导体212中的每一个。这样,插槽130的结构可以尽可能地简化,例如插槽130可以具有规则的形状,例如矩形。这样,插槽130的结构简单、便于加工制造。并且,多个第一信号导体211和多个第一接地导体212可以以任意方式排列,都无需更换绝缘壳体100,绝缘壳体100的通用性较好。这样可以减少模具的种类,降低生产成本。
在一个优选实施例中,如图6-7所示,插槽130可以包括主开口131和多个支开口132。主开口131呈沿着纵向方向X延伸的纵长形状。多个支开口132从主开口131的侧面沿着横向方向Y延伸。每个支开口132对应于一个导体安装槽102。为了使插槽130能够暴露多个第一信号导体211和多个第一接地导体212,多个支开口132与多个导体安装槽102一一对应地贯通。多个支开口132可以分别暴露多个第一信号导体211和多个第一接地导体212。即,每个支开口132暴露一个第一信号导体211或者暴露一个第一接地导体212。通过这种设置,间隔构件300的体积较小,所以间隔构件300的材料消耗较小,电连接器的成本降低。而且,插槽130的开口面积较小,进而在不改变绝缘壳体100的尺寸的前提下,绝缘壳体100可以保证较高的结构强度。
需要注意的是,在插槽130仅暴露多个第一接地导体212,而不暴露多个第一信号导体211的实施例中,插槽130也可以包括纵长的主开口131和从主开口131的侧面沿着横向方向Y延伸的多个支开口132。多个支开口132可以分别暴露多个第一接地导体212。
可选地,间隔构件可以包括导电塑料构件。导电塑料构件可以与多个第一接地导体212电耦合。导电塑料构件可以为本领域已知的或者未来可能出现的各种类型的导电塑料构件,只要可以实现其与多个第一接地导体212电耦合即可。发明人发现,将多个第一接地导体212与导电塑料构件电耦合后,对电连接器传输信号进行测试,能够发现信号进行高频、高速传输时,其表现会更为稳定,可以更好地满足用户的使用需求。优选地,导电塑料构件可以为电损耗材料。申请号为US 62/807,653的在先申请公开了电损耗材料的内容。电损耗材料已为本领域技术人员已知,为了简洁本文不再赘述。导电塑料构件可以有效抑制接地导体内的共振,这种共振可能会干扰信号,因此抑制共振可以提高信号完整性。也就是说,采用导电塑料构件的电连接器,可以提高高频信号的信号完整性,信号通过电连接器时几乎不会失真,这样采用该电连接器的电子系统可以更好地运行。采用导电塑料构件的电连接器,可以满足PCI GEN 5(外设部件互连标准第5代)对性能的要求。
可选地,间隔构件可以包括绝缘构件。绝缘构件可以与多个第一接地导体212相抵接。绝缘构件可以为本领域已知的或者未来可能出现的各种类型的绝缘构件,只要能够在与其相抵接的多个第一接地导体212之间起到绝缘作用即可。可选地,绝缘构件可以由与绝缘壳体100相同的材料制成。这样可以减少电连接器的材料种类,降低生产制造的难度。采用绝缘构件的电连接器,可以满足PCI GEN 4(外设部件互连标准第4代)对性能的要求。也就是说,如果不要求具有PCI GEN 5的性能,绝缘壳体100的插槽130内可以安装绝缘构件,或者不安装任何构件。
综上所知,当电连接器的第一信号导体211无需传输高频、高速的信号时,插槽130内可以无需设置间隔构件300或者设置预定的一种间隔构件300(例如绝缘构件)。当电连接器需要传输高频、高速的信号时,插槽130可以接收预定的另外一种间隔构件300(例如导电塑料构件),以使该电连接器的性能可以满足较高的性能要求。这样,满足这两种性能要求的电连接器的绝缘壳体100可以具有相同的构造,因此可以采用同一模具来制作的该绝缘壳体100,因此极大地降低了电连接器的生产成本。并且,由于两种电连接器的绝缘壳体100结构相同,因此在生产制造过程中,无需为两种电连接器分别储备各自的绝缘壳体,由此可以降低电连接器的库存和管理成本。基于此,本实用新型的电连接器可以根据其应用的电子系统进行合理的配置,从而使成本和性能都能满足用户的需求,电连接器的市场竞争力较高。
可以理解地,当电连接器无需传输高频、高速的信号时,绝缘壳体100也可以无需设置插槽130。这样电连接器的成本进一步降低。当然,在不考虑成本等因素的情况下,即使无需传输高频、高速的信号时,也可以设置插槽130,并在插槽130内设置导电塑料构件。
在有些电连接器中,多个导体200并非沿着其整个纵向方向等间隔地均匀排列。由于物理结构、数据传输等方面的要求,多个导体200沿着电连接器的纵向方向X分成若干堆,本文将每堆称为一个段。在每个段内,都设置有导体200,而且在每个段内,这些导体大体上沿着纵向方向X等间隔地均匀排列。而相邻的段之间的导体间隔较大。示例性地,如图1-5所示,绝缘壳体100可以具有第一段110和第二段120。第一段110和第二段120可以沿着纵向方向X间隔开。第一段110和第二段120的纵向尺寸可以相同或者不同。也就是说,在图中所示的实施例中,第一段110的纵向尺寸大于第二段120的纵向尺寸。在未示出的其他实施例中,第一段110的纵向尺寸可以等于或者小于第二段120的纵向尺寸。此外,第一段110和第二段120的数量也不限于图中所示。
多个第一信号导体211、多个第一接地导体212和插槽130可以位于第一段110上。多个导体200还可以包括多个第二信号导体220。多个第二信号导体220和多个第一信号导体211可以相同或者不同。多个第二信号导体220可以位于第二段120上。
通过这种设置,第一段110内的第一信号导体211可以适用于传输高频、高速的信号。而第二段120内的第二信号导体220可以适用于传输对传输速率和频率要求较低的信号。因此,在需要传输多种信号时,可以对电连接器进行合理配置,从而可以即满足性能要求,又可以降低成本,电连接器的市场竞争力进一步提高。
可以理解地,该电连接器仅需要传输高频、高速的信号时,电连接器可以不包括第二段120,而是包括一个或多个第一段110。
优选地,如图4-5所示,多个导体200排列成沿着纵向方向X延伸的两列。这两列沿着横向方向Y间隔开。插槽130沿着横向方向Y可以位于两列之间。参见图5,这两列相对于彼此沿着纵向方向X偏移预定距离d。发明人发现,当两列导体200相对于彼此沿着纵向方向X偏移一定距离时,可以提高电连接器的传输性能。
进一步地,如图5所示,预定距离d可以大体上等于第一段110内、纵向相邻的导体之间的间距P的一半。该间距P也可以称为节距(Pitch)。由此,电连接器的传输性能更佳。
根据本实用新型的另一个方面,还提供一种电连接器。电连接器可以包括绝缘壳体100、多个导体200和导电塑料构件。
绝缘壳体100可以具有第一段110和第二段120。第一段110和第二段120可以沿着纵向方向X间隔开。
多个导体200可以设置在绝缘壳体100上。多个导体200可以沿着纵向方向X排列。多个导体200可以包括多个第一信号导体211、多个第一接地导体212和多个第二信号导体220。多个第一信号导体211和多个第一接地导体212可以位于第一段110上。多个第二信号导体220可以位于第二段120上。绝缘壳体100的正面暴露多个导体200。
导电塑料构件可以设置在第一段110内。导电塑料构件可以与多个第一接地导体212电耦合。这样,采用该电连接器的电子系统信号进行高频、高速传输时,其表现会更为稳定,可以更好地满足用户的使用需求。并且,对于传输信号要求不同的电子系统,电连接器可以进行合理配置,从而可以即满足性能要求,又可以降低成本,电连接器的市场竞争力提高。
可选地,绝缘壳体100上可以设置有如上所述的插槽130,导电塑料构件通过安装在插槽130内而安装至绝缘壳体100上。可选地,导电塑料构件可以嵌入在绝缘壳体100的内部,不外露。在此实施例中,导电塑料构件可以采用注塑成型的方式形成在绝缘壳体100内。当然,本实用新型不对导电塑料构件的加工和安装方式进行限制。
由此,本实用新型已经通过上述若干实施例进行了说明,但应当理解的是,本领域技术人员根据本实用新型的教导还可以做出更多种的变型、修改和改进,这些变型、修改和改进均落在本实用新型的精神和所要求保护的范围以内。本实用新型的保护范围由附属的权利要求书及其等效范围所界定。上述实施例只是用于举例和说明的目的,而非意在将本实用新型限制于所描述的实施例范围内。

Claims (12)
1.一种电连接器,其特征在于,所述电连接器包括:
绝缘壳体,所述绝缘壳体的背面设置有插槽;以及
设置在所述绝缘壳体上的多个导体,所述多个导体沿着纵向方向排列,所述多个导体包括多个第一信号导体和多个第一接地导体,其中,所述绝缘壳体的正面暴露所述多个导体,所述插槽暴露所述多个第一接地导体,且所述插槽用于接收间隔构件。
2.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于,所述绝缘壳体具有第一段和第二段,所述第一段和所述第二段沿着所述纵向方向间隔开,所述多个第一信号导体、所述多个第一接地导体和所述插槽位于所述第一段上,所述多个导体还包括多个第二信号导体,所述多个第二信号导体位于所述第二段上。
3.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于,所述间隔构件包括导电塑料构件,所述导电塑料构件与所述多个第一接地导体电耦合。
4.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于,所述间隔构件包括绝缘构件,所述绝缘构件与所述多个第一接地导体相抵接。
5.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于,所述插槽暴露所述多个第一信号导体。
6.根据权利要求5所述的电连接器,其特征在于,所述插槽包括纵长的主开口和从所述主开口的侧面沿着横向方向延伸的多个支开口,所述多个支开口分别暴露所述多个第一信号导体和所述多个第一接地导体。
7.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于,所述多个导体排列成沿着所述纵向方向延伸的两列,所述插槽沿着横向方向位于所述两列之间,所述两列相对于彼此沿着所述纵向方向偏移预定距离。
8.根据权利要求7所述的电连接器,其特征在于,所述绝缘壳体具有第一段和第二段,所述第一段和所述第二段沿着所述纵向方向间隔开,所述多个第一信号导体、所述多个第一接地导体和所述插槽位于所述第一段上,所述预定距离等于所述第一段内、纵向相邻的导体之间的间距的一半。
9.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于,所述电连接器为插头电连接器。
10.一种电连接器,其特征在于,所述电连接器包括:
绝缘壳体,所述绝缘壳体具有第一段和第二段,所述第一段和所述第二段沿着纵向方向间隔开;
设置在所述绝缘壳体上的多个导体,所述多个导体沿着所述纵向方向排列,所述多个导体包括多个第一信号导体、多个第一接地导体和多个第二信号导体,所述多个第一信号导体和所述多个第一接地导体位于所述第一段上,所述多个第二信号导体位于所述第二段上,其中,所述绝缘壳体的正面暴露所述多个导体;以及
导电塑料构件,其设置在所述第一段内,所述导电塑料构件与所述多个第一接地导体电耦合。
11.根据权利要求10所述的电连接器,其特征在于,所述绝缘壳体的背面设置有插槽,所述导电塑料构件容纳在所述插槽内。
12.根据权利要求11所述的电连接器,其特征在于,位于所述第一段上的多个导体排列成沿着所述纵向方向延伸的两列,所述插槽沿着横向方向位于所述两列之间,所述两列相对于彼此沿着所述纵向方向偏移预定距离。
