Isaac Sponaugle (Democratic Party) was a member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 55. He assumed office on December 1, 2012. He left office on December 1, 2020.
Sponaugle (Democratic Party) ran for election for Attorney General of West Virginia. He lost in the Democratic primary on June 9, 2020.
Biography
Sponaugle earned his B.S. in business administration from West Virginia University in 2001 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from West Virginia University School of Law in 2004. Sponaugle's professional experience includes working as an attorney and as an intern for U.S. Senator Robert C. Byrd.

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 25, 2014. Incumbent Isaac Sponaugle was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Steven Davis was unopposed in the Republican primary. Sponaugle defeated Davis in the general election.[5]
