My invention relates to a trellis for building construction and process for using same, and I declare the following to be'a full, clear, concise and exact description thereof sufficient to enable anyoneskilled in the art to which it appertains to make anduse the same.

Referring more particularly to the-drawings, the device consists the clapboards or outside boards 2 of the house, if it is desired to cover the exterior of the building with cement, stucco, etc. Said laths 1 are disposed in vertical position and at suitable intervalsapart. wire mesh 3 is laid then against the outside surfaces of lath 1 and nailed thereto, whereby to form a porous support for the cement, mortar or other material or other soft metal having flanges 7, 7 are nailed to lath 1 outside of wire mesh 3. Certain of the copper strips such as 10 are arranged in parallel horizontal rows. The vertically disposed copper channel strips 5 are made in short lengths and disposed between horizontal strips 10 at suitable intervalsto allow for a certain amount of yield of strips 10.
