This invention relates to combined shade roller bracket and curtain rod supports.

The object of the invention is to provide a iixture of this character which may be permanently applied to a window frame and equipped with adj ustably and removably mounted brackets to support shades and curtain rods of varying lengths and permit the brackets to be readily removed or applied without the use of any fasteners so that when no draperies are used, there will be no unsightly brackets in View, and the removal or application of which will not mutilate the window frame.

llVith the foregoing and other objects in View which will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts and in the details of construction hereinafter described and claimed, it being understood that changes in the precise embodiment ofthe invention herein disclosed may be made within the scope of what is claimed without departing from the spirit of the invention.

In the embodiment illustrated, a Window frame F is shown having applied to the upper 85 cross bar thereof the iixtures 1 constituting this invention, tWo of which are here shown, one mounted at each corner of the frame. These fixtures are exactly alike except they are made rights and lefts and hence one only will be described in detail.

Each of these fixtures l comprises a combined guide and attaching plate 2 having inturned side edges 3 and 4L spaced from the body of the plate to form guides to receive the shade roller and rod supporting brackets 5 and 10. The plate 2 is also provided with longitudinally extending spaced slots 6 and 7 for the passage of the fastening screws 8 for securing the plate to the Window frame, the slots permitting said plate to be adjusted longitudinally on the cross bar of the frame to position it at any desired point and when so positioned, it is secured by tightening up the screw 8.

The guides formed by the inturned langes 3 and 4 are open at both ends and are designed to slidably receive the feet 5a of the shade roller as Well as the feet of the curtain rod bracket l0. These brackets 5 and 10 are yieldably held engaged with the guide flanges of the plate l by means of laterally spreading furcati-ons of the feet of said brackets, those of bracket 5 being numbered l2 and 13. The space 16 between these furcations permit the feet to yield laterally and to bindingly engage with the guides of plate 2 so that these brackets may be slipped longitudinally in the plates and held frictionally and yieldably in adjusted position at any desired point.

The brackets 5 for supporting the shade roller are made L-shaped in form and the outwardly extending plate or arm 18 thereof is provided with a rectangular seat 19 and the other with a round aperture such as is ordinary in brackets of this character to receive the angular and round pintles respectively of the shade roller.

A curtain shade fixture comprising an elongated plate, the longitudinal edges of the plate being extended inwardly providing flanges spaced from the plate and forming guideways with the plate, a iixture formed of a length of sheet metal material, a pair of spaced rectangular feet formed integral with the fixture, said feet being spaced greater distances apart at their free ends than at their inner ends, to lend resiliency to the feet, said feet being so positioned Within the guideways, and the outer corners of the feet adapted to bite into the plate to restrict movement of the fixture.
