Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the resolution by employing a concave mosaic face on which a phosphor material layer for constituting an input face is formed while reaching the gap for partitioning the phosphor material layer to the surface of said layer. CONSTITUTION:One face 16a of a mosaic 16 partitioned by a grooe section 15 is planar and tightly contacted with a substrate 14. The other face 16b of said mosaic 16 is made concave and when depositing caesium iodide CsI as the basic material of the phosphor material layer 17, a gap 18 for partitioning said layer 17 is made widely at the first stage. As the growth of a pillar crystal of CsI said gap will be narrowed and reaches to the surface of the phosphor material layer 17. Since the gap 18 can be prevented from the missing, the phosphor material layer 17 is functioned sufficiently as a block resulting in the improvement of the resolution.
