Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve a magneto electro transducer in temperature characteristics by magnetizing a magnetoresistance element in one direction by using a saturation bias magnetic field, the element having a current passage where a bias current flows, as well as arranging the element so as to be relatable to a plurality of parallel magnetic fields having a different direction from it in order to form composite magnetic fields. CONSTITUTION:Parallel magnetic poles S1, N1, S2 and N2 form parallel signal magnetic fields HS whose direction successively changes by pi: S-N-S-N.A magnetoresistance thin-film element MR0 is arranged in parallel with the equimagnetic-potential surface of the magnetic fields HS. The direction of a bias magnetic field HB applied to a current passage IC0 of the element MR0 is made perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the element MR0. Therefore, composite magnetic fields HA1 and HA2 composed of the signal magnetic fields HS and the bias magnetic field HB have the same direction between the magnetic poles S1 and N1, and S2 and N2. At the same time, a composite magnetic field HA3 has the different direction from the magnetic fields HA1 and HA2 between the magnetic poles N1 and S2. Thus, the displacement value produced when a current is applied across power supply terminals T1 and T2 is improved, and an output with the temperature compensated is drawn from an output terminal T3.
