実施の形態1.
図1は、この発明の実施の形態による目標物検出装置の構成を示すブロック図である。図において、目標物検出装置1は、送信信号周波数変調部2、サーキュレータ3、送受信アンテナ4、受信RF周波数変換器5、周波数分析部6、距離・速度算出器7を備えている。
従来の2周波CW方式のレーダ装置では、相対速度が同一の目標物が複数存在する場合に、それぞれの目標物に対する距離を正しく分離できないという問題がある。自動車搭載用レーダ装置の主な使用場所となる道路上では、複数の自動車が同一方向にほぼ等速で走行する状況が極めて頻繁に現れる。しかし従来の2周波CW方式のレーダ装置では、このような場合に目標物の距離を分離できないという問題を有しており、実用化の妨げとなっていた。
Claims (5)
- 送信信号の周波数を複数のステップ周波数に順次変調し、周波数変調後の送信信号を送信波として目標物に照射するとともに、この目標物に反射された上記送信波のエコーを受信して得た受信信号を周波数分析することによって上記目標物の相対速度を算出する目標物検出装置であって、
上記送信信号を上記ステップ周波数に順次変調する周波数変調過程を、速度分解能を満足するために周波数分析処理の原理上必要とされる最少観測時間内に複数回反復する周波数変調手段と、
上記受信信号のうち上記周波数変調過程の同一ステップ周波数に対応する受信信号を複数の上記周波数変調過程に亘って周波数分析する周波数分析手段と、
を備えたことを特徴とする目標物検出装置。 - 請求の範囲第1項に記載の目標物検出装置において、
周波数分析手段は、周波数変調過程の第1のステップ周波数に対応する受信信号を複数の上記周波数変調過程に亘って周波数分析して第1の周波数分析結果信号を生成するとともに、上記第1のステップ周波数とは異なる第2のステップ周波数に対応する受信信号を複数の上記周波数変調過程に亘って周波数分析して第2の周波数分析結果信号を生成し、
上記第1の周波数分析結果信号の振幅値がピークとなる周波数成分を第1のピーク周波数として検出するとともに、上記第2の周波数分析結果信号の振幅値がピークとなる周波数成分を第2のピーク周波数として検出し、検出した第1のピーク周波数と第2のピーク周波数との間の信号位相差から目標物の距離を算出する距離算出手段、
を備えたことを特徴とする目標物検出装置。 - 請求の範囲第1項に記載の目標物検出装置において、
周波数分析手段は、周波数変調手段が送信信号を変調する複数のステップ周波数に対応する受信信号を、複数の周波数変調過程に亘りステップ周波数を固定して周波数分析することにより、上記複数のステップ周波数に対応する受信信号の周波数分析結果信号を生成し、
上記複数のステップ周波数に対応する受信信号の周波数分析結果信号の振幅値がピークとなる周波数成分を検出して、検出した周波数成分から目標物の相対速度を算出する速度算出手段と、
上記速度算出手段が検出した周波数の位相成分を、上記複数のステップ周波数に亘って分析することにより、上記複数のステップ周波数の位相成分の変位を算出して、算出した位相成分の変位に基づいて上記目標物の距離を算出する距離算出手段と、
を備えたことを特徴とする目標物検出装置。 - 請求の範囲第3項に記載の目標物検出装置において、
距離算出手段は、速度算出手段が検出した周波数の位相成分を、周波数変調過程の複数のステップ周波数に亘って超分解能法を用いて分析することにより、上記複数のステップ周波数の位相成分の変位を算出する
ことを特徴とする目標物検出装置。 - 請求の範囲第1項に記載の目標物検出装置において、
周波数変調後の送信信号が所定のパルス繰り返し時間でパルス化された送信パルス信号である
ことを特徴とする目標物検出装置。
