Abstract

836,584. Joint-making packing. ZILLER, H. March 26, 1956 [March 31, 1955], No. 9419/56. Class 122 (3). A gasket comprises a flat ring 1 of rubber &c. having different axial thicknesses at different radii and reinforced by an embedded ring 2 of metal &c. extending over the greater part of the radial width of the gasket. The gasket may be thickened at its middle portion 3, Fig. 1, at its inner or outer peripheral portions or at intermediate portions, the increase in thickness being effected gradually.
