Abstract

411,666. Sifting-apparatus. HUTTON, G. H., 55, Moorgate, London. May 4, 1933. No. 13068. [Classes 82 (ii) and 117.] Rotary screening-apparatus comprises an inner screen 10 of comparatively coarse mesh and an outer auxiliary 18 of finer mesh surrounding and spaced from the inner screen. One or more helical ribs 19 are secured to the inner surface of the screen 18 and are secured by brackets to H-section beams 15 secured longitudinally on the outer surface of the inner screen. The screen may be made in sections of graded mesh, and is preferably provided with splash rings 22, 25, 26. Baffle-plates, retarding- rings, or other forms of disintegrating or wearresisting devices may be provided in the helical channels. Water for washing the material may be supplied by a perforated pipe 17. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 23094/99, 6536/02, 9400/03, 29311/06, 3314/07, and 250,393, [all in Class 117].
