428,991. Tap washers. COHEN, H., 3451, St. Lawrence Boulevard, Montreal, Canada. Aug. 27, 1934, No. 24617. Convention date, Sept. 1, 1933. [Class 135] A tap washer, made wholly or partly of leather or equivalent material, has a bushing extending only part way through the washer so as to leave a non-lined part of the central bore 15. In one form, the bushing 14 extends through the leather part 13 of the washer which is completed by a rubber facing-disc 18. Where the washer is made wholly of leather, the inner flange 17 on the bushing 14 sinks circumferentially into the sides of the bore 15 some distance from the end thereof. The washer may be conical in shape.
