Abstract

1,174,886. Injection moulding. GEORG FISCHER A.G. 19 April, 1968 [21 April, 1967], No. 18592/68. Heading B5A. An injection mould has at least two cavity forming parts 1, 2, and a composite core consisting of male and female parts 4 and 6 respectively between which an elastic ring 9, e.g. of rubber, is expanded, so that its external form determines the shape of an undercut portion produced in the moulded article 3. After the moulding step, the part 4 is withdrawn from the part 6 causing the ring to contract from the undercut portion, whereupon the core is withdrawn from the article. A rod 7 interconnects the parts 4 and 6, the latter has spacer bolts 12.
