Abstract

1446025 Injection moulds DUNLOP Ltd 24 May 1974 [21 June 1973] 29640/73 Heading B5A An article 1 having one or more undercut recesses 2 is made in a mould fitted with one or more inserts 7, 13 corresponding to the desired recesses and, after moulding, the inserts are moved outwardly of the mould whilst remaining embedded in the article, thereby removing the article from the mould. The article may be made by injection or transfer moulding. Additional recesses (3) may be formed by inserts 10, 11. The inserts 7, 13 are fixed to ejector rods 5, 15 attached to an ejector bar 4.
