CONSISTE EN ALIMENTAR CON ETER ALQUIL TER-ALQUILICO, UNA COLUMNA DE DESTILACION QUE CONTENGA UN CATALIZADOR APTO PARA LA DESCOMPOSICION DE ETER, EN LA OLEFINA Y EL ALCOHOL CORRESPONDIENTE, Y EN SUSTRAER DE MANERA CONTINUA DE LA PORCION DE CABEZA LA OLEFINA PRODUCIDA, OBTIENDOSE EN EL FONDO EL ALCOHOL PURO O AL MENOS UNA MEZCLA DE ALCOHOL Y ETER. AL MENOS UNO DE LOS PLATOS DE LA COLUMNA, ESTA PROVISTO DE UN LECHO DE CATALIZADOR A BASE DE RESINAS ESTIRENODIVINILBENCENO SULFONADAS.
