Description

The invention relates to a jaw body for ski bindings, with a base body which has bores for receiving fastening screws, the base body being assigned a base plate which is also provided with bores, and the fastening screws in the mutually associated bores of these components even before the assembly of the Ski bindings are held against falling out.

Such a jaw body is known from an in-house solution. In this version, each hole in the base body and the base plate is provided with a radial shoulder. However, the manufacture of the mold required to produce such components involves certain difficulties. This also makes the production of the individual molds more expensive.

Bei dieser Ausführung muß für jede Schraube ein Halteelement vorgesehen werden, was einen zusätzlichen Kosten- und Arbeitsaufwand erfordert.DE-C3-23 59 489 describes a base plate of a ski binding, which is fastened to a ski with the help of wood screws, which can be screwed into the ski through a recess corresponding to the diameter of the wood screw of a deformable holding element associated with a hole in the base plate are. The bore in the holding element is arranged offset with respect to the central axis of the holding element. The purpose of this measure is to prevent the holding element from turning when the wood screw is screwed in. In this embodiment, a holding element must be provided for each screw, which requires an additional cost and labor.

Furthermore, AT-B-310 060 shows a base plate which is arranged between a ski and the base plate of a ski binding part and which in two embodiments has three elongated holes, two of which are arranged in the transverse direction and one runs in the vertical longitudinal center plane of the base plate. The problem underlying the invention, namely holding the fastening screws in the assembled state of the base plate and Bringing the base plate in a simple way is not solved by this known embodiment.

Finally, AT-B-372 863 describes a base body intended for ski bindings, which is provided with holes for fastening screws, the wall of each hole for holding the fastening screw used in its unmounted state having two approaches, both along the circumference of the hole and are also offset relative to one another in the height direction. Viewed in plan view, each approach is delimited by a circle whose diameter is smaller than that of the bore, and both approaches are offset by 180 ° relative to one another. In this publication, however, there is no reference to the holding of a base plate.

The invention has for its object to eliminate the disadvantages of the known designs and to simplify the mounting of the mounting screws in the holes of the base body and base plate in a jaw body for ski bindings and still a falling out of the mounting screws from their holes even before the assembly of the jaw body on the To prevent skis reliably. Furthermore, the fastening screws should hold the base plate to the base body when the jaw body is not assembled.

Starting from a jaw body according to the preamble of claim 1, this object is achieved according to the invention by the features of the characterizing part of this claim. Characterized in that the holes of the base plate are offset relative to the associated holes of the base body, viewed in the assembled state of these components, a slight oblique position of the fastening screws is brought about before the screwing-in process, which leads to these screws being retained even when the jaw body is not assembled . When screwing in, the fastening screws are centered through the pre-drilled holes, so that these screws are perpendicular to the top of the ski in the assembled state of the jaw body.

Due to the features of claim 2, the holes in the base plate are offset inwards relative to the holes in the base body, so that the fastening screws in the unassembled state of the jaw body, viewed in the longitudinal direction of the ski, are inclined towards one another with their tips.

The features of claim 3 allow a similar mounting of the fastening screws, in which case the tips thereof, seen from the side of the jaw body, are inclined to one another.

The measure of claim 4 ensures that the base plate is centered relative to the base body.

The subject of claim 5 also serves for centering; uniform loading of the base plate and the base plate is achieved here.

The features of claim 6 have the advantage that the base plate and the base body can be formed with congruent bores, and that the displacement of the associated bores is brought about by a corresponding design of the projection and recess.

The features of claim 7 bring about an additional fixation of the base plate to the base body. In addition, a secure guidance of the base plate in the longitudinal direction of the base body of the ski is also ensured during assembly.

The subject matter of claim 8 enables the base plate to be held on the base body even before the fastening screws are inserted.

In the drawing, for example, embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown. 1 is a plan view of the base body according to the invention optionally according to a first or a second exemplary embodiment and FIGS. 2 to 4 are illustrations of the first exemplary embodiment, FIG. 2 a section along the line II-II in FIG. 1 on a larger scale, 3 shows a plan view of the base plate and Figure 4 is a vertical longitudinal central section. 5 shows a plan view of the base plate in the second exemplary embodiment, and FIG. 5a shows a section along the line Va-Va in FIG. 5. 6 and 7 show the base body and the base plate in plan view and FIG. 8 shows a section along the line VIII-VIII of FIGS. 6 and 7 in a third exemplary embodiment.

According to FIGS. 1 to 4, a cheek body of a ski binding, designated in its entirety by 1, is fastened by means of its base body 3 on the upper side 2a of a ski 2. The housing of the jaw body 1 is formed in one piece with the base body 3. Fastening screws 5 are used to fasten the base body 3 on the upper side 2a of the ski 2, one of which is shown inserted into a bore 4a or 4b of the base body 3 in FIG. As can be seen in FIG. 1, two pairs of bores 4a-4d are provided for fastening the base body 3 on the upper side 2a of the ski 2, which form the corner points of a trapezoid.

Dabei beträgt das Ausmaß des Versetzens bis zu 0,2 mm.Below the base body 3 there is a base plate 10, the bores 11a - 11d of which are slightly offset relative to the associated bores 4a - 4d of the base body 3 with respect to a vertical transverse plane 12 of the base body 3 (see FIG. 3). The distance between the bores 4a and 4b or 4c and 4d in the base body 3 in FIG. 1 with "A" and the distance between the bores 11a and 11b or 11c and 11d in the base plate 10 in FIG. 3 with "a" designated. This is to indicate that the bores 11a-11d are offset inwards with respect to the bores 4a-4d. The amount of displacement is up to 0.2 mm.

On the base plate 10 there is an upwardly projecting extension 14 in the form of a cuboid which, when the base plate 10 is attached, projects into a corresponding recess 16 which is recessed in the base body 3. Furthermore, the base plate 10 carries, in the area remote from the attachment 14, two further, upwardly projecting, resilient extensions 15a, 15b, which extend in relation to the vertical longitudinal center plane the ski binding are arranged mirror-symmetrically. These extensions 15a, 15b engage with their shoulders 15c, 15d in a groove 17 of the base body 3 and are resiliently supported on the two side walls of this groove. Thus, the base plate 10 is held against the base body 3 before the fastening screws 5 are inserted on the base body 3. Furthermore, the configuration of the groove 17 ensures that the base plate 10 is guided relative to the basic body 3 in its longitudinal direction.

The second embodiment of a base plate 10 'shown in FIGS. 1 and 5 differs from that described first in that the bores 11'a - 11'd compared to the associated bores 4a - 4d of the base body 3 with respect to the vertical longitudinal center plane 13 of the base body are slightly offset. The distance between the bores 4a and 4c or the bores 4b and 4d in the base body 3 in FIG. 1 with "B₁ or B₂" and the distance between the bores 11'a and 11'c or 11'b and 11 ' d in the base plate 10 'in Fig.5 with "b₁ or b₂" designated, the extent of displacement in this case is up to 0.2mm.

The formation of the approach 14 'and the two resilient extensions 15'a and 15'b corresponds to that of the first embodiment, which is why a detailed description of these components is unnecessary.

The third embodiment according to FIGS. 6 to 8 differs from the two previously described in that the distances between the associated pairs of bores 4a - 4d of the base body 3 and bores 11''a - 11''d of the base plate 10 '' , viewed in the transverse plane as well as in the longitudinal plane, are of equal length. For this reason, these distances were designated C = c, c = C and D = d, d = D in the figures mentioned. In contrast, the position of the extension 14 ″ relative to the recess 16 ″, viewed in the longitudinal direction of the base body 3, is offset by up to 0.2 mm. This brings about a similar effect to holding the fastening screws 5 in the respective bores as in the previous embodiments, wherein the inclination of each fastening screw 5 runs in the same direction.

The invention is not tied to the exemplary embodiments described above and shown in the drawing. Rather, various modifications thereof are possible without leaving the scope of the invention. For example, it would be conceivable to combine the measures according to the first two exemplary embodiments with one another and thereby bring about the displacement in the direction of the diagonals of the trapezoid delimited by the bores. Furthermore, the holes in the base plate could also be offset outwards instead of inwards.

If the configuration according to the third exemplary embodiment is combined according to the invention with that according to the first exemplary embodiment, the extent of the offset can be up to 0.4 mm. It should be noted that each pair of holes in the base body and the base plate must be offset. In a practical embodiment, the amount of displacement is 0.3 mm.

A clamp mounting assembly according to claim 1, characterized in that the spacing (B₁ or B₂, respectively) of said bores (4a-4c or 4b-4d, respectively) in said base member (3) is greater, with reference to the vertical longitudinal center plane of said clamp mounting assembly (1), than the spacing (b₁ or b₂, respectively) of said bores 11'a-11'c or 11'b-11'd. respectively) in said bed plate (10'), and that in the pre-assembled state of said base member (3) and said bed plate (10'), the offset of mutually associated bores of these components relative to one another is of a magnitude of up to 0.2 mm.
  4. A clamp mounting assembly according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that said bed plate (10,10',10'') is fixedly positionable relative to said base member (3), one of these two members being provided with at least one per se known projection (14,14',14'') to be received in an aperture (16,16'') of the other member.
  5. A clamp mounting assembly according to claim 4, characterized in that said projection (14,14',14'') is formed on said bed plate (10,10',10'') in the shape of an upwards protruding rectangular body, and that said base member (3) has its bottom face formed with a recess (16,16''), the thickness of said bed plate (10,10',10'') being smaller than that of said base member (3).
  6. A clamp mounting assembly according to claims 1 and 5, characterized in that the arrangement of said bores (11''a, 11''b or 11''c,11''d, respectively; 4''a , 4''b po 4''c , 4''d, respectively) in said bed plate (10'') and said base member (3) is congruent, and that the offset of said bores of said bed plate (10'') relative to said bores of said base member (3) is brought about by an offset of said projection (14'') relative to said recess (16'') (figs. 6 and 7).
  7. A clamp mounting assembly according to any of claims 4 to 6, characterized in that a portion of said bed plate (10, 10',10'') spaced from said projection (14,14',14'') is provided with two further upwards protruding, resilient projections (15a,15b; 15'a,15'b; 15''a,15''b) to be received in a groove (17,17'') on the bottom face of said base member (3), and that said projections (15a,15b; 15'a,15'b; 15''a,15''b) are slidingly displaceable in said groove (17,17'') in the longitudional direction thereof.
  8. A clamp mounting assembly according to claim 7, characterized in that said resilient Projections (15a,15b; 15'a,15'b; 15''a,15''b) are provided with lateral protrusions (15c,15d; 15'c,15'd; 15''c,15''d) adapted in the pre-assembled state of said base member (3) and said bed plate (10,10', 10'') to engage the sidewalls of said groove (17,17'') of said base member (3) to retain said bed plate (10,10',10'') on said base member (3) in a force fit.
