Description

The invention relates to a base body, in particular for ski bindings, with at least one hole for a fastening screw, the wall of the hole for holding the fastening screw used in its unassembled state having lugs which are offset relative to one another both along the circumference of the hole and in the vertical direction are arranged.

A base body of the type mentioned at the outset is known, for example, as a base plate for a ski binding available on the market. In this known solution, three approaches are provided in the individual bores, which are used to hold inserted fastening screws, which are configured along a thread. The surface of each shoulder runs in the direction of the thread and also the respective pitch of this thread in order to ensure that the individual fastening screws are held securely. The disadvantage of such types of approaches is that a device with special tools, which ensure the production of suitable thread sections, must be used. For a secure hold of the fastening screws, the use of three lugs is inevitably necessary in this holding device, which in turn require the use of three tools, which still have to be eroded in order to be able to produce the required surface of the individual lugs corresponding to the pitch of the thread. Furthermore, the approaches designed in this way can be easily damaged, thereby jeopardizing the secure hold and thus the vertical position of the individual fastening screws. The consequence of this is that during assembly, the screws are in a position that deviates from the vertical to the top of the ski, as a result of which the intended goal is no longer achieved. This is because the base plate of a ski binding should be able to be fixed without further manipulation simply by screwing the fastening screws into the holder, especially into the ski.

Various holders for captive fastening screws are known from the field of electrical engineering. In DE-U-1 884 116, such a screw holder in insulating base plates is realized by an annular projection in the bore of the base plate, the inside diameter of which is somewhat larger than the screw bolt but smaller than the outside diameter of the thread of the fastening screw. 4 can be located at any height of the bore. The mounting of the fastening screw is increased according to FIG. 5 by dividing the annular extension into two semicircular or several segment-shaped sections, the height of which is offset in the bore according to the thread pitch of the fastening screw. However, the approach has a chamfer, which should facilitate screwing into the base plate made of an insulating material. Insulating base plates of this type are, however, known to be easily deformable, so that there is little resistance to the screwing in of the screws consisting of metal. A transfer of this measure to the area of ski bindings, where the screws are to be held in a material that is stronger and less deformable compared to insulating materials, is not easily possible.

The invention has now set itself the task of designing a basic body of the type mentioned, in which bores are provided with lugs, in such a way that the screwing of the fastening screws into the bores is made easier, the quality of holding the fastening screws and their centering is known Solutions compared is improved, wherein the stability of the approaches used are to be increased and their design is to be simplified.

The object is achieved according to the invention in that two approaches are provided, which approaches, viewed in plan view, are each delimited by two circles with different diameters, the larger diameter of which corresponds to the diameter of the bore, the cresia being tangential to one another touch and the two points of contact of the circles of the two approaches are offset relative to each other by 180 ° and that the individual approaches are offset in the vertical direction to the extent of a full thread of the fastening screw used.

Since the two circles of different diameters each enclose a type of moon-shaped surface, screwing in the fastening screws is made easier. The use of two approaches is surprising insofar as experts have expected that two approaches will not be sufficient to achieve the goal set. In particular, it was assumed that this can in no way be achieved by using approaches which have no shape corresponding to the course of the thread of the individual fastening screws. By staggering the lugs in the vertical direction by a full thread, a special hold of the fastening screws in the individual bores is ensured without undesired deformation of the lugs taking place.

Further advantages and details of the invention are described in more detail with reference to the drawing, which represents an embodiment of a base body for a safety ski binding. Here show:
  • Fig. 1 shows an inventive base body of a jaw body of a ski binding in plan view
  • Fig. 2 shows a section along the line 11-11 of Fig. 1 and Fig. 3, the hole with an inserted fastening screw.

A jaw body of a ski binding, designated in its entirety by 1, is fastened to the top of a ski 2 by means of a holder, designated as the base body 3. The housing of the jaw body 1 is formed in one piece with the base body 3. Fastening screws 5, one of which is shown in FIG. 3 inserted into one of the bores 4 of the base body 3, are used to attach the base body 3 to the top of the ski 2.

As can be seen in FIG. 1, two pairs of bores 4 are provided for fastening the base body 3 on the upper side of the ski 2. Approaches 6 and 7 are formed in the individual bores 4. In the bores 4, the projections 6, 7 provided in each case are offset both in the vertical direction and, as can be seen in FIG. 1, along the circumference of the individual bores 4, by 180 ° relative to one another. The distance between the two lugs 6, 7 of the bore 4, as can be seen in FIG. 3 in connection with a fastening screw 5, is a (full) thread. This means that the two lugs 6, 7 form a hold for the individual fastening screws 5 without any beveling of their top or bottom, normal to the top of the ski 2. Each approach 6, 7 of the individual bores 4, viewed in plan view, has a special shape, which configuration will now be discussed in detail.

When viewed in plan view, each attachment 6, 7 is determined by two circles having different diameters D, d. The larger pressure gauge D corresponds to the diameter of the bore 4. The two circles defining each attachment 6, 7 touch each other tangentially. These points of contact of the circles of both approaches 6, 7 are offset by 180 ° relative to one another.

The special shape of the individual lugs 6, 7 of the individual bores 4 makes it possible to maintain the upper or lower surface configuration of these lugs 6, 7 which is parallel to the top of the ski 2, without the fastening screws 5 being inserted out of their position normal to the top of the ski 2 would be pushed away. The two lugs 6, 7 thus encompass partial areas of the shaft 5a between the threads 5b of the individual fastening screws 5, without the individual lugs 6, 7 being damaged during screwing in before or during assembly. Of course, care must be taken that only fastening screws 5 with a thread 5b are used for which the lugs 6, 7 have been created.

The receiving point for receiving the head of the fastening screw 5 can of course also have a shape different from the shape shown in FIG. 2, depending on the design of the head.

Da die beiden Ansätze 6, 7 um 180° versetzt sind, liegt der untere Ansatz an der Oberseite, der obere Ansatz 6 an der Unterseite des Gewindes der Schraube 5 an.For the sake of completeness, it should also be noted that the vertical distance between the two lugs 6, 7 must be measured from the bottom to the bottom or from the top to the top of the two lugs 6, 7 to the extent of a full thread turn. Since the two lugs 6, 7 are offset by 180 °, the lower lug is on the top, the upper lug 6 on the underside of the thread of the screw 5.

The invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiments shown. Further modifications are conceivable that are well within the scope of protection. It is irrelevant whether the housing is formed in one piece with the base body or fastened to it in a known manner, for example riveted. The choice of materials for the jaw body, its housing, the base body and the fastening screws are also at the discretion of the designer, taking into account the respective conditions.
