Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for clearing, in particular for cleaning, traffic areas such as roads, highways and airstrips, snow, slush, water, dirt, dust or the like, with a movable support frame, in which two rotatable drums are stored, around which a conveyor belt for the goods to be cleared can be guided in the operating position, diagonally or transversely to the direction of travel.
  • traffic areas such as roads, highways and airstrips, snow, slush, water, dirt, dust or the like
  • Broaching devices are also known which are designed with a support frame in which at least two rotatable drums are mounted, a conveyor belt for the clearing material which can be moved in the operating position at an angle or transversely to the direction of travel being guided around these drums (see, for example, US Pat. No. 2,797 502).
  • the drums are designed vertically, as a result of which the conveyor belt is located in levels normal to the traffic area.
  • these known clearing devices are therefore not in accordance with the requirements, since the conveyor belt cannot be brought to the traffic area. This is not possible because this would mean that both the leading and the returning strand lie against the traffic area. In this way, forces acting in two different directions would be transmitted to the support frame via the conveyor belt.
  • the material to be cleared would be conveyed through the one belt strand in a first direction and through the other belt strand in the opposite direction.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to create a clearing device by which the known Vorrich The inherent disadvantages are avoided.
  • This is achieved according to the invention in that the conveyor belt can be moved in a position enclosing an acute angle with the normal to the traffic area, one of the two strands being able to be brought into contact with the traffic area, whereas the other, counter-movable strand is lifted off the traffic area . Abstract

The apparatus for clearing a trafficked surface such as a road, express highway and airport runway of snow, slush, water, dirt and the like comprises a framework in which two rotatable drums are mounted and around which a conveyor belt for the material to be cleared movable transverse to the direction of travel or inclined in the operating location is guided. The conveyor belt is movable into a position inclined at an acute angle with respect to the normal of the trafficked surface. One of two strands of the conveyor belt is contactable on the trafficked surface while the other oppositely movable strand of the conveyor belt is liftable from the trafficked surface.

Description

The invention relates to a device for clearing, in particular for cleaning, traffic areas such as roads, highways and airstrips, snow, slush, water, dirt, dust or the like, with a movable support frame, in which two rotatable drums are stored, around which a conveyor belt for the goods to be cleared can be guided in the operating position, diagonally or transversely to the direction of travel.

Straßen und Autobahnen, zu.In particular with air runways, there is a need to completely clear them of snow or slush, since otherwise air traffic will be hindered. In addition to the requirement for very good clearing, there is also a requirement for a very high working speed of the clearing devices, since the runway is not available for take-off or landing movements during the clearing process. In addition, runways must not only be covered by snow or slush, but also by water, dirt or the like. be kept free to ensure proper, safe flight operations. Analogous conditions also apply to other traffic areas, e.g. Roads and highways, too.

Devices are known for removing snow or slush on traffic areas, in particular flight runways, which are designed with a brush roller which is held in rotation against the direction of travel. By moving such clearing devices, the traffic areas in the working area of the brush roller can be cleared of snow or slush and thereby cleaned. However, these devices are disadvantageous in that the clearing material is whirled up by the rotation of the brush roller, whereupon, depending on the inclined position of the brush roller with respect to the direction of travel, it is in turn offset with a lateral component on the traffic area.

This means that to clean a strip of the runway, the width of which depends on the length of the brush roller on the one hand and on its inclined position to the direction of travel on the other hand, the clearing material is repeatedly picked up by the brush roller and flung up despite a deflector, causing it to move in a kind of spiral movement in the Area is promoted to the side of the work surface of the device. From there it is again captured in a further broaching process, which is carried out by a second broaching device or by the same device in a second working step, and offset laterally by the working width of the broaching device. It follows from the above statements that the known devices for clearing traffic areas have a very poor efficiency.

Another disadvantage of such known devices is that they have to be designed with very long brush rollers in order to achieve a working width that meets the requirements. This requires very complex constructions. For this reason, these known devices designed with brush rollers are provided with a support arm which rests at its front end by means of a bogie on the loading surface of a carrier vehicle in the manner of a semitrailer and which is carried on its rear by a chassis, of which additional, for the device required devices are worn. Brush rollers are also known which are formed with chassis both at their front end and at their rear end, and require a towing vehicle for their movement.

In any case, there is a need for structurally very complex, elongated chassis in which the brush rollers are mounted and from which the loads occurring during operation, such as e.g. Vibrations. This requirement is particularly due to the fact that when clearing snow or slush, parts of the clearing material can freeze on the brush roller, causing unbalance phenomena to occur during their rotation, which have to be taken over by appropriately dimensioned bearings and complex chassis and which reduce the amount the clearing speed and thus the working speed.

US-A 2 797 502). Broaching devices are also known which are designed with a support frame in which at least two rotatable drums are mounted, a conveyor belt for the clearing material which can be moved in the operating position at an angle or transversely to the direction of travel being guided around these drums (see, for example, US Pat. No. 2,797 502). In the case of these clearing devices, the drums are designed vertically, as a result of which the conveyor belt is located in levels normal to the traffic area. However, these known clearing devices are therefore not in accordance with the requirements, since the conveyor belt cannot be brought to the traffic area. This is not possible because this would mean that both the leading and the returning strand lie against the traffic area. In this way, forces acting in two different directions would be transmitted to the support frame via the conveyor belt. In addition, the material to be cleared would be conveyed through the one belt strand in a first direction and through the other belt strand in the opposite direction.

For this reason, in known clearing devices, it is necessary to keep the conveyor belt at a distance from the traffic area. However, this arrangement has the disadvantage that it is not possible to completely clear the traffic area. This is particularly disadvantageous if the broaching device for cleaning small amounts of brood, e.g. for small amounts of snow or for clearing traffic areas from dirt. In a large number of cases, especially in the case of flight runways, the aim is to completely clear the traffic areas.

The object of the invention is therefore to create a clearing device by which the known Vorrich The inherent disadvantages are avoided. This is achieved according to the invention in that the conveyor belt can be moved in a position enclosing an acute angle with the normal to the traffic area, one of the two strands being able to be brought into contact with the traffic area, whereas the other, counter-movable strand is lifted off the traffic area . This achieves very good clearing of the traffic area without causing the disadvantages inherent in the known prior art.

According to a first preferred embodiment, the front strand of the conveyor belt in the direction of travel can be brought into contact with the traffic area, wherein it encloses an acute angle between 1 ° and 30 ° with the normal to the traffic area. In practice, an angle of approximately 8 ° has proven to be very advantageous. According to a preferred second embodiment, the rear run of the conveyor belt in the direction of travel can be brought into contact with the traffic area, wherein it includes an acute angle of between 1 ° and 30 ° , in particular an angle of 8 °, with the normal to the traffic area.

Due to the strand of the conveyor belt lying against the traffic surface, the clearing material located thereon is detected without being whirled up, and it is transported to the edge of the working surface of the device in accordance with the drive speed of the conveyor belt. There it is detected during a further clearing operation and in turn offset by the working width of the clearing device.

Guide rollers for the conveyor belt are preferably mounted on the support frame in addition to the belt drums. The front belt strand can also be assigned tensioning rollers, the position of which can be adjusted relative to the supporting frame. The tension rollers can be mounted on handlebars whose pivot position can be adjusted by means of a turnbuckle. In addition, support rollers can be assigned to the rear run of the conveyor belt or a slide rail can be provided on the support frame as a counter-support for the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt can be held in the appropriate position and tension by the guide rollers, tensioning rollers, support rollers and slide rails.

Preferably at least one of the belt drums is e.g. driven by a hydraulic motor, the drive for the conveyor belt being reversible.

According to a further preferred embodiment, the conveyor belt is made of stiff-elastic material, whereby it consists of inserts made of steel fibers, sheet steel, glass fibers, carbon fibers, slag fibers and the like. reinforced elastic material, such as rubber, plastic or the like, can be made. Furthermore, additional tools, such as cutting or brushing, can be arranged on the lower longitudinal edge of the conveyor belt in a manner known per se. Ropes or rods can be held on the outside of the conveyor belt along which the height of the brushes which are under the action of springs can be adjusted. A sleeve can be guided along each rope or rod, on which a compression spring acts and which carries a brush. The cutting or brushing process supports or clears the broaching process caused by the conveyor belt.

According to a further preferred embodiment, the inside of the conveyor belt is formed with longitudinal profiles, such as ribs or grooves, and the belt drums and the guide rollers are formed on their lateral surfaces with mutually spaced, opposing, annular profiles, such as grooves or ribs . The inside of the conveyor belt can be designed with ribs that are trapezoidal in cross section, the belt drums and the guide rollers being formed with grooves that are trapezoidal in cross section. This configuration ensures the required installation of the conveyor belt on the traffic area, since it is held at its height by the belt drums and guide rollers. If these profiles are at the same distance from one another, this further enables, after abrasion of the conveyor belt, to be displaced relative to the belt drum by an amount which approximately corresponds to the distance between two profiles. As a result, the conveyor belt can be used until it has only a part of an original height without the functionality being impaired thereby.

Preferably, the deflection drums are each made up of a pair of rubber tires, e.g. are foamed, formed between which protrudes a bar extending from the inside of the conveyor belt in the longitudinal direction thereof.

According to a further preferred embodiment, the conveyor belt is designed on its outside or on its inside in a manner known per se with vertically extending ribs. In addition, the inside of the conveyor belt can be formed with a longitudinally extending groove into which at least one guide roller protrudes. These features also ensure good conveyor belt guidance.

According to a further preferred embodiment, the support frame is designed with a blowing device or with a suction device. A blow duct or suction duct open at the bottom can be arranged on the support frame. Furthermore, the support frame can be coupled to the base support frame of a carrier vehicle by means of a support tube, which serves as an air duct, a blower or a suction device being arranged on the base support frame.

Preferably, a channel extending over the length of the support frame and open to the traffic area is provided on the support frame behind the conveyor belt and can be connected to the blower via the support tube. Alternatively, a suction channel can open inside the conveyor belt and is connected to the suction device via the support tube. The support tube is preferably guided via two branch tubes to the two ends of the downwardly open channel, with the Mouth of the support tube in the branch pipes and at the mouths of the branch pipes in the channel control flaps. The control flap provided at the mouth of the support tube can be designed as a rotary slide valve, and the control flaps located at the mouths of the branch tubes can be actuated by the air flow against the action of actuating springs.

The cleaning process is supported by a blower in order to increase the clearing capacity of the conveyor belt or to allow a discharge of the clearing material close to the ground at a greater distance. The clearing material can be captured by a suction device and transported to a collecting container located on the carrier vehicle.

Preferably, the support frame is designed in a manner known per se with wheels. Furthermore, at least one actuating cylinder is preferably held by the base support frame in a manner known per se, by means of which the support frame can be lifted off the traffic area. As a result, the clearing vehicle can be moved in the required manner during operation or it can be moved to a transport position outside of the operation.

According to a further preferred embodiment, the support frame is rotatably mounted on the support tube in a manner known per se and at least one adjusting device is provided between the base support frame and the support frame, by means of which the support frame can be pivoted relative to the direction of travel. Furthermore, the storage for the belt drums and the guide rollers is preferably adjustable in their height and in their angular position relative to the support frame, as a result of which the height and the inclination of the conveyor belt relative to the traffic area can be adjusted.

In order to be able to adapt the inclination of the carrier for the conveyor belt to the road inclination, the carrier for the conveyor belt in the support frame can preferably be pivoted about an axis running in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. For this purpose, the carrier for the conveyor belt can be held in a housing of the support frame by means of elastic intermediate layers.

According to further preferred embodiments, a spray device is arranged in front of and or or behind the conveyor device and a drive unit, hydraulic pumps for feeding the drive for the belt drums, a blower or a suction device and a liquid container with a pump are provided on the carrier vehicle.

Such a device can either be arranged on the back of a carrier vehicle or on the front of a carrier vehicle in the manner of a snow plow.

In order to be able to use a device according to the invention in such a way that the clearing material is conveyed away either to the right-hand side edge or to the left-hand side edge of the work surface by means of the conveyor belt, the carrying device is rotatably mounted relative to the carrying vehicle and there is at least one actuating cylinder or one between the carrying vehicle and the carrying device Motor provided, through which the transverse position of the support device relative to the direction of travel is adjustable. For this, the drive of the conveyor belt is also reversible. In order to be able to use the blower in the appropriate manner, the air duct is led via two branch pipes to the two ends of the duct which is open at the bottom, the region of the mouth of the pipe into the branch pipes and the mouths of the branch pipes into the Channel control flaps are located, through which the blower air is guided in such a way that it flows into the downwardly open channel either from left to right or from right to left.

A dient.1 shows a carrier vehicle 1, on the front plate of which a known snow plow 2 is mounted in a manner known per se. On the drawer Surface 4 of the carrier vehicle 1 is a support frame 4a, from which a hydraulic pump 5, a blower 6, a drive motor 7 for the blower 6 and for the hydraulic pump 5 and a container 8 for a deicing fluid are carried with a feed pump 8a. A support tube 11 is also attached to the carrier vehicle 1, which serves as an air duct and which is coupled at its rear end to a clearing device, which is explained below with reference to the other figures. This clearing device consists of a support frame 13, which is supported by means of wheels 14 against the traffic surface 3 and of which a conveyor 15, a housing 16 for a downwardly open air duct 17 through which an air flow can be generated, and at least one spray device 18 are supported. The support tube 11 can be pivoted about a bolt 11 a by means of an actuating cylinder 12, and thus its height can be adjusted. In addition, a servomotor 19 is provided, which serves to pivot the clearing device into an inclined position with respect to the direction of travel A.

From the plan view of the device according to FIG. 1 shown in FIG. 2 it can be seen that the support frame 13 has a length such that it projects laterally beyond the carrier vehicle 1 in an inclined position of approximately 45 ° relative to the direction of travel A. The support frame 13 can be pivoted by means of the servomotor 19 into one of those two inclined positions which are shown in FIG. 2 of the drawing with dash-dotted lines and which form the working positions. If the conveyor 15 is driven in the direction of arrow B, the clearing material is conveyed to the right-hand side in the direction of travel A in the direction of arrow C. The inclined position of the clearing device can be fixed by a locking pin 20. If the support frame 13 is adjusted into the other inclined position shown in dash-dotted lines and the drive of the conveyor device 15 is reversed, the clearing material is conveyed to the left side in the direction of travel A. As can be seen from FIG. 2, the support frame 13 can also be pivoted laterally about a bearing 13a.

Nachstehend ist die Ausbildung der Fördereinrichtung erläutert:The design of the conveyor is explained below:

As can be seen from FIG. 3, the support tube 11 opens into two branch tubes 30 and 31, which lead to the outer ends of the housing 16 for the air duct 17. At the mouth of the tube 11 in the branch tubes 30, 31, a rotary valve 33 is provided. At the mouths of the branch pipes 30, 31 in the channel 17 flaps 34 loaded by springs 36 are provided. As can be seen from FIG. 4, the rotary slide 33 is designed as a cylinder, in which a curved air baffle 33a is inserted. This rotary valve 33 is coupled via a pin 38 with a lever 39 for entrainment. By pivoting the lever 39, the rotary valve 33 is rotated. By rotating the rotary valve 33, the air flow supplied by the fan is deflected from one of the branch pipes 30, 31 into the other.

Die Bandtrommeln 40 sind in horizontalen Führungen gehaltert und mittels Stellspindeln 21 verschiebbar, wodurch die Spannung des Förderbandes 23 einstellbar ist.5, the support frame 13 is formed at both ends with belt drums 40, around which a conveyor belt 23 is guided. Furthermore, guide rollers 45 for the conveyor belt 23 are supported over the length of the support frame 13 in this. The conveyor belt 23 is formed on its outer sides with approximately vertically extending ribs 24. The housing 16, which forms the air duct 17 open to the traffic area 3, is also carried by the support frame 13. The air pipe 11 connects to the air guide housing 16. The belt drums 40 are held in horizontal guides and can be displaced by means of adjusting spindles 21, as a result of which the tension of the conveyor belt 23 can be adjusted.

As can be seen from Figs. 6 and 7, the inside of the conveyor belt 23 is approximately horizontal, i.e. in the longitudinal direction of the same ver running, inwardly projecting ribs 25 are formed. In an analogous manner, the belt drums 40 and the guide rollers 45 are formed with circumferential grooves 41, 46 spaced apart from one another by their height, into which the inner ribs 25 of the conveyor belt 23 protrude. The conveyor belt 23 is made of rigid, elastic material, such as rubber or plastic. In order to increase the required abrasion resistance, the conveyor belt 23 or the like can be provided by inlays made of steel fibers, sheet steel, glass fibers, slag fibers, carbon fibers. be reinforced. Since it is subject to wear regardless of this, there is the possibility of the fact that the ribs 25 on the inside of the conveyor belt 23 or the grooves 41, 46 of the belt drums 40 or the guide rollers 45 are at the same distance from one another Abrasion of the conveyor belt 23 to move it down by an amount which corresponds to the distance between the ribs 25 from each other.

The frame for the support frame 13 is formed at its upper end with two flanges 60, which are provided with eyelets 61, by means of which the support frame 13 is held in its central region by a bolt 62, whereby it is in the position of the inclination of the traffic area 3 can customize. In the upper area of the front run 23a of the conveyor belt 23, a skid 63 is assigned to it, which is carried by an arm 64. This skid 63 serves to prevent the front run 23a of the conveyor belt 23 from being lifted off the guide rollers 45. Within at least one of the belt drums 23 there is a hydraulic motor 48 which serves to drive the conveyor belt 23, for which purpose the shaft 49 is coupled for driving with a hub 50 of the belt drum 23. The channel 17 is open to the conveyor belt 23, whereas it is closed off at the rear by an elastic bar 65 which can be adjusted in height.

In the operating position of the conveyor belt 23, which can be seen from FIGS. 6 and 7, it is held in such a way that the front belt strand 23a encloses an angle of approximately 8 ° with respect to the traffic area 3 and bears against the traffic area 3. Due to the inclined position of the conveyor band 23 is the rear band strand 23b of the traffic area 3 at a distance. By driving the conveyor belt 23 is cleared from the front belt run 23a on the traffic area 3, such as snow or slush, water, dirt, dust or the like. detected and it is conveyed laterally in the direction of movement of the conveyor belt 23. The conveyance of the clearing material is supported by the fact that air can be conveyed through the air pipe 11 and through one of the branch ducts 30, 31 from the blower 6 into the duct 17 which is open at the bottom and flows off transversely. Corresponding to the position of the rotary valve 33, the blower air is supplied to either the left end or the right end of the channel 17 and flows through it to the other end in the direction of the conveying direction of the conveyor belt 23, as a result of which the material to be cleared is additionally blown off to the side at a slight height above the traffic area 3 becomes. The angle which encloses the front belt strand 23a with the traffic area 3 can be between 1 ° and 30 ° .

Zudem sind hintere Stützwalzen 47 vorgesehen.8 to 10 show an embodiment variant of a broaching device according to the application in plan view or in sections. The front belt section 23a of the conveyor belt 23 is lifted off the traffic area 3 and the rear belt section 23b bears against it, whereby it encloses an angle of 8 ° with the normal to the traffic area 3. This angle can be between 1 ° and 30 ° . Furthermore, the inside of the conveyor belt 23 is formed not only with horizontal strips 25 but also with vertical strips 24a, to which corresponding horizontal grooves 41, 46 and vertical grooves 42 are assigned in the belt drums 40 and in the guide rollers 45. In this embodiment of the clearing device, the suction channel 11 opens into a channel 17a within the loop formed by the conveyor belt 23. In addition, rear support rollers 47 are provided.

In the operation of this clearing device, the conveyed material is conveyed within the conveyor belt 23, the rear run 23b of which lies against the traffic area, moves in the direction of the arrow D, and is conveyed through the suction channel 11 into a collecting container located on the carrier vehicle 1.

A third embodiment of a device according to the invention is shown below, which is simplified compared to the above-described embodiments in that it is designed without a blowing or suction device. This device is arranged on the front of the carrier vehicle 1 instead of a snow plow.

As can be seen from FIGS. 11 and 12, this clearing device 70 is mounted on the front of the carrier vehicle 1 by means of a coupling device 71. It is also designed with a conveyor belt 74 and is supported by means of running wheels 75. The conveyor belt 74 is placed around two belt drums 76 and 77 and is driven by at least one motor. The height of the conveyor belt 74 is adjusted by an approximately vertically aligned cylinder 72. The inclined position of this device in relation to the direction of travel is set by means of two lateral cylinders 73.

This device is shown schematically in FIG. As can also be seen from this, the conveyor belt 74 is placed around the drive drum 76 and around the deflection drum 77. In addition, two pairs of tensioning rollers 81 are assigned to the front belt run 74a in the direction of travel A and two guide rollers 84 to the rear belt run 74b in the direction of travel A. The tensioning rollers 81 are mounted on links 82 which can be pivoted by means of a tensioning lock 83. As a result, the front run 74a of the conveyor belt 74 can be tensioned by adjusting the pivoting position of the tensioning rollers 81 or its position relative to the support frame for the device can be changed.

As can be seen from FIG. 14, the drive drum 76 is formed by foamed tires 85 and 87, the hubs 86 and 88 of which are rigidly connected to one another. The deflection drum 77 is designed in the same way. The conveyor belt 74 is formed on its inside with a rib 90 lying in the middle region of the height, which projects between the two tires 85 and 87. As a result, the conveyor belt 74 is held at the required altitude despite the loads acting on it. On its outside, the conveyor belt 74 is formed with ribs 92 oriented transversely to its longitudinal extent.

Due to the tensioning rollers 81, which are assigned to the upper area and the lower area of the conveyor belt 74, this is adjusted slightly in the direction of travel A in the middle area between the deflection drums 76, 77, whereby the forward run 74a in the middle area with greater pressure against the traffic surface 3 or the tendency that the front belt run 74a is lifted in the middle area between the drive and deflection drums 76, 77, is counteracted, whereby a good clearing effect is also achieved in this area.

As described above, the conveyor belt 74 is held in an inclined position in relation to the traffic area 3, as a result of which its front belt strand 74a comes into contact with the traffic surface 3 during operation, whereas the rear belt strand 74b is lifted off the ground. Due to the movement of the conveyor belt 74, material located thereon is conveyed through its front run, which lies against the traffic area 3.

As can be seen from this, the support frame is firmly connected to the carrier vehicle 1 by means of a support tube 100. A holding plate 101 is fastened to the support tube 100 and is formed with a housing 102 in which four elastic strips 103 are arranged. A bolt 105 is held by these elastic strips 103 which rails 107 are attached on both sides. The rails 107 form the support frame of the clearing device. Through this elastic fastening of the support frame, the clearing device can perform pivoting movements with respect to its holder, as a result of which it can adapt to inclinations of the surface which is to be cleared.

In Fig. 18 it is shown that the strips 24 of the conveyor belt 23 can be formed with metallic cutting edges 26, by means of which the clearing material is broken up or loosened. 19 and 20 show that the strips 24 of the conveyor belt 23 can be designed with brushes 27, whereby an additional cleaning is achieved.

Finally, another embodiment of the conveyor belt 74 is shown in FIG. 21. In this case, this is formed on its outside with upper and lower longitudinal strips 110, in which rods or cables 112 are fastened. Sleeves 113, from which bolts 114 project transversely, are mounted on the rods or ropes 112. Brushes 115 projecting downward are carried by the bolts 114. The sleeves 113 are under the action of a compression spring 116, their travel by a stop, e.g. a pin 117 is limited. The ropes 112 are fastened by bolts 118. Bores 119 are further provided in these, which serve to receive stop pins.

Since the brushes 115 are pressed against the floor 3 by the spring 116, they also exert a clearing effect. Since the travel of the sleeves 113 is limited by the stops 117, only the brushes 115 located on the front run 74a of the conveyor belt 74 come into effect. Due to the height-symmetrical design of the conveyor belt 74, it can be turned from top to bottom as soon as the lower edge is no longer functional due to abrasion.
