Show HN: I created a beautiful teleprompter for cold calling and sales (magicscript.vercel.app)

I built a beautiful teleprompter to sound more confident on cold calls or videos. Check it out https://magicscript.vercel.app

I Recently had the experience of recording a quick demo for one of my products, and i was taking 3 second long pauses and blanking when the record button hit. I found that a lot of other teleprompters on the market were just too complex or had terrible UI/UX and didn't really allow navigation abilities.

I recorded the demo video on my landing page using my own product and when i say this is "the most confident i have ever sounded" I mean it lol.

Check it out and let me know if you guys have any feedback, i plan on adding a ton of other features if i find product market fit.

Interesting idea, and the UX of the product itself is really interesting and not something I've seen before. I think it could work really well for the target market. A couple of issues I noticed:

- If you pivot there doesn't seem to be a way to go back. I pivoted at the first step and neither arrow left or arrow up go back to the starting point.

- It would be good to label the pivot with what would prompt you to choose it, for example for the first one something like "Pivot available: wrong person answers"

- The animation of the text is quite distracting. It at least needs an option to change the speed, because it animates slower than I could read, and ideally the option to turn it off. It's also buggy if there are multiple paragraphs in the response; subsequent paragraphs start to animate in even before the previous paragraphs have fully loaded, so you have multiple paragraphs animating at once.

Thank you for the wonderful feedback, I agree with the 2nd and 3rd points, that would definitely be a great help.

For the first point, the idea behind a pivot functionality in general is that you don't need to memorize the flow of the whole script, whenever the customer responds with something that is not handled within your main script, you can just press a button to pivot and it will start a whole new script from that node onwards, essentially allowing you to just read off the screen and not think about the script at all

But i think i could do a better job of explaining the product maybe via a detailed demo video explaining how these functionalities work

I'm also planning on adding features like custom shortcuts which will allow users to handle the most common objections instantly, along with analytics to see the most common script flow patterns and see exactly where customers are dropping off.

I'm struggling a lot tho with marketing and finding product market fit. I really think that cold calls is a good application for this kind of a teleprompter but i can't seem to find a good place where people like these usually hang out, i've tried even advertsing on reddit but to no good avail.

Since i'm completely bootstrapping the whole thing, i would really appreciate any ideas on how to reach out to potential customers and put the product in front of them

Looks like a promising product when starting out cold calling.

Yeah that was my thought, to help folks through the initial anxiety stage of cold calling, when you're experienced enough it almost becomes an extra muscle and you usually don't even need to read off the whole script, you can just use it to keep track of the conversation flow
