Both series by the same creator "ONE" and both adapted from his iconic web comics.
Unsurprisingly art style, character designs and sense of humour are almost identical.
Both shows have great OST's and animation.

Both of these stories are written by ONE, and have the same sense of humor. They started out as webcomics, although you'll notice that the style is different, as OPM got picked up by a bigger company, and got a new artist, although the story is still written by ONE.
There are several theories that the worlds are actually connected.
Mob and Saitama have very similar personalities, that are along the lines of emotionless, although they both have different reasons for such.
Both build up their allies, and occasionally, foe turns into friend.

Mix of action, comedy and a bit of drama, those series follow overpowered main characters and the troubles their powers cause them and how they deal with it. Both have original works made by the same creator.

Both made from the same creator. Both are action packed with fantastic fight scenes. Both contain humor that will make you LOL. If you watched one of these and you enjoyed it I would defo recommend watching the other.

One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100 have a really similar feeling, that being said the both share the same creator. They both contain a ridiculously overpowered main character who has two emotions, "OK" and "K.O"! They even share a similar art-style. I really enjoyed them both~! ღ(❤♡❤ღ) Super Powers FTW!!!

Same creator, same style of comedy, both have similar nice art and a have a very op main character that doesn't seem to care about it. 
If you like one of these shows, you will most likely like the other.

Both original mangas are made by the same Author : ONE.

As having the same author, the art style is the same.

Those two share a lot in common thanks to their main characters, who are totally overpowered, where Saitama is a physical monster whereas Mob is a psychic monter.

Made by the same web manga creator ONE. The style is simular (all be it mob psycho being more flashy). however the witty humour and amazing fight scenes are in both anime.

Similar fashion in terms of character styling, attitude, as well as both have overpowered main character. Similar comedy and joke. No wonder since it is from the same author. A bit different in term of environments art since Mob designed to be a bit more sketchy compared to OPM.

Yes others said it all, let me tell again. These anime have
- similar vibe with similar main protagonists
- the main character never brags about his strenth
- his strength his limits and source of his strength are not known
- finally the art of both is literally the same

It's the same actor, so that means, same humorous style. The protagonists have almost a equally mindset of what they doing. Both have good animation, therefore it has good dose of action. Interesting support characters. That's it.
You'll not regret.

They are made by the same mangaka, One!
Most facial expression in Mob Psycho 100 are based out of Saitama's "Ok" face. Both anime contain a similar story starting from the main character  already having a monstrous strength. Action are undoubtedly awesome and characters have various personality even though their face are... Similar.

Personally a really amazing anime that are shadowed by the greatness of OPM. A must watch for those who want more of OPM after watching all the OVAs.

They were both created by the same person and both have a main character that has trouble having emotions and is put in weird scenarios yet One Punch Man is more comedic focused.

Both feature an unassuming main character, who is overpowered. The side characters can be very dramatic, which plays of the main characters very calm, bored demeanor. The art style is very similar, and so is the humor.

Well, the biggest similarity is the main character, both have a really similar design, face: a poker face. Both have one of the best animations ever produced. Both have a lot of action, WITH eye-pleasing visuals. The humor is insanely similar.

Saitama and Mob look and behave similarly. They both have a "sidekick" character who aren't as powerful (although, Genos can definitely beat up Reigen--and almost anybody-- anytime). They are both very powerful characters from the beginning, exaggeratedly so. Both animes have incredible action--and the animation styles for it--and are mostly funny.

I'm not caught up with Mob Psycho just yet, but I'm not the only one who has seen the similarities between these two.

Mob Psycho 100 and One Punch Man were written by the same man, a web comic artist called ONE. So both of these shows share a similar theme of humor and integrate it into bombastic, over the top action scenes. ONE's talent to emotionally connect the audience to his larger-than-life characters in a smooth, natural way is also used to its fullest in Mob Psycho 100. Each show is gorgeously animated and is backed by an appropriately great OST.

They are basically the same but with them being the opposite such as saitama has basically endless physical strength when on mob psyscho 100. Mob has pretty much no physical strength but has esper powers. (And not to mention its literally written by the same writer the wrote one punch man)

They have the same author, and the protagonists are pretty similar - average looking with unbelievably strong powers, who yet are somehow too dense to realize the great potential that they hold.

I didn't like both of them, but if you liked either one of them, you're sure to like the other.

They are made by the same creator and have the same animation style, with Mob Psycho staying truer to the web comic it derived from. Mob is more relatable to me than Saitama. The shows are both amazing.

Mob Psycho 100 is the obvious progression for anyone who was a fan of One Punch Man. Given they are both products of the writer One they carry many of the same tropes, namely the dead-pan, obscenely powerful protagonist. However, I believe that Mob Psycho 100 brings more emotion to the table than OPM. There are emotional moments in OPM, but Mob Psycho 100 really takes it home because where Saitama lacks ambition and is only a hero as a hobby, Mob has ambition, just ludicrously misplaced. In this way Mob seems to me to be a more relatable  and in-depth character than Saitama. The supporting cast of MP1 is also a big step up. I love Genos just as much as anyone else, but he can be a bit... robotic. MP1 basically takes the premise and style of OPM, and improves on it in a way that makes an even more engaging and interesting story.  If you liked One Punch Man, you will love Mob Psycho 100. read more

Aside from the fact that both stories were created by the same manga artist, ONE, there are lots of similarities that mean if you like one show, you'll probably like the other. Super powerful main character? Check. Ridiculous humor? Check. Well thought out side characters and meaningful relationships? Check and check. They're both wonderful. But, saying all that, they ARE completely separate stories that are amazing on their own, not just copies of the other.

I understand that this is an obvious one, however, most people overlook Mob psycho. these anime are similar that both MC are overpowered and create some of the best fight scenes ever, the animation is always on point, where they differ is that when one punch man second season aired it lowered in quality immensely whoever mobs second season improved not only in the story but in animation too, Mob also has far greater character development.

First of all it is the same author that wrote both animes. Second, both MC's have great powers and their personality seem similar. I get the same vibe (humor) from both of these animes when I watch them.

In Mob Psycho there are people called espers who are basically same as heroes in one punch man. Main character from Mob has almost same personality as Saitama and is one of (if not) the most powerfull espers. Very similar animation with amazing fight scenes and coreography.

If you enjoy anime with overpowering protagonists, then you will definitely love Mob Psycho 100 and One Punch Man. Both works are created by the same author, who excels at crafting intriguing plot developments and expressing the characters' superiority flawlessly. While Mob Psycho 100 shines in character development, particularly regarding the protagonist, One Punch Man leans more towards a comedic approach. Nevertheless, both series deliver an exhilarating experience for fans of overpowering protagonists.

Saitama is overpowered, Mob(MC in MP100) is overpowered. Both are unbeatable in the anime. They're strong as hell and they look the same, but Mob has a hair an Saitama's Bald.

The heroes are pretty cool and charismatic (although differents) and the enemies (like monsters) are very originals and sometimes creepy O_o . That's the main reasons why I recommend this two animes.

When I watched the first episode, I was immediately reminded of One Punch Man. In short, Mob Psycho gave me OPM vibes and it turned out to actually be kind of similar (not to mention they have the same author). It has the same amount of comedy and has OP protagonist that's going through a lot.

Overpowered, but very relatable main characters that are very fun to watch. The stories are great, coming from the same author, but were they really stand out is in their execution. Both are filled with sakuga and some of the best animation anime has to offer, with a varied staff that really seems to have put passion into each work.

Never too serious, always have a good humor that surrounds for every character. Battle scenes, animation, sounds and the story is great. I recommend this anime for those who want to laugh and see some amazing fight scenes.

One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100 were both made by the same person, One, with very similar purposes and ideas. OPM and MP100 are both great but personally I think Mob Psycho is better than OPM. Defiantly should check Mob Psycho out if you like One Punch Man and have not seen Mob.

The heroes of both shows are insanely powerful and are subject to intense, exciting fight sequences. With overwhelming strength, they must find value in the mundane life and figure out how to grow as people. One Punch Man deals with superpowers akin to comic book heroes/villains while Mob Psycho 100 deals with unique psychic abilities.

If you like the over-the-top-comedy with crudely drawn art styles to achieve this level of comedy along with an OP main character and you have already seen one of these. You’ll almost definitely enjoy the other due to the similar vibes they give off.

Both Mob psycho 100 and One punch Man has been made by ONE. Both of this anime is totally similar. "ONE" (the creator) learned his mistakes from making OPM (one punch man) and refilled those hole into Mob psycho. So, we can tell Mob psycho is the refined version of One punch man. 
The MC of OPM and Mob psycho 100 is Over Powered in there world. They are like emotionless. Saitama is too much powerful and he has like infinite strength which made him not only in anime but also the strongest fictional character in history. There were some lackness in OPM. Saitama being emotionless, OP, less credit taking somehow pissed some of us guys.
But Mob psycho is totally good. Everyone knows about Mob's power. Mob is freaking powerful but not infinite level strength. He also has romantic feelings.

In overall, I prefer mob psycho though both of this anime is good. Try it out! read more

Both anime has overpowered characters, one with strength and one with psychic powers. For anime starters or newbies Mob Psycho and One Punch Man highly recommend because both of them are enjoyable show, entertaining and really great to begin with.

If you liked one of these shows, you will love the other. There are many OPM references in Mob Psycho 100 as well. Both shows are very unique and entertaining to watch. Highly recommend these two shows to any anime fan.

To everyone who loved the action packed and beautifully animated first series of One Punch Man, you should give Mob Psycho 100 a try. Both share the same creator and an overpowered main character, although Mob Psycho goes deeper on the emotional development of the characters in it. I give both a 9/10.

Both of them have similar protagonists with overwhelming strength. Both of them are quite funny and the protagonists are quite similar in their behavior and characteristics traits. Both are quite funny to watch and they are enjoyable. Would highly recommend to someone who liked Mob Psycho 100.

The worlds and personalities are different, but there are big similarities.

:: Both MC are overpowered and are displayed unstoppable when they get serious. Everyone underestimates their power since they are reluctant in using them.

:: The fight scenes are similar when they fight against a "strong" enemy. They get punched trough walls and even buildings but stand up emotionless like nothing extremes happened.

I'm just gonna say 'One' (pun intended) thing about my experience with these two:"Don't Judge a book by its cover." If you like seeing Overpowered protagonists fighting evil in a comical way, you'll definitely love these 2 shows.

Both Animes are about an overpowered MC who basically can't lose against anyone. However, in Mob Psycho 100 the theme is approached differently. Where Shigeo Kageyama the main character doesn't consider himself special because of his powers. 'Just because you have a talent it doesn't mean you're likeable' is the message. Where the premise of the show is about Kageyama trying to live a normal life while trying to become a better person. Except he gets involved in situations where he is forced to use his powers.

Oh yeah, the eyes of Saitama and Kageyama are basically the same lol

Both these series were created by the same person and share similar themes of power and how that affects the show's characters. Both shows are very comical while having amazing animation. Mob Psycho 100 has an animation style closer to the aesthetic of the writer's original style while One Punch Man maintains a more anime style while retrieving webcomic references occasionally.

Both Mob Psycho 100 and One Punch Man are written by the same author, ONE, and they both share ONE's comedic style and character design. I prefer MP100 for how much deeper it goes with its plot and character arcs, and how much more lively the animation is, so if you like OPM's animation but wish for a deeper story, try Mob Psycho 100!

They are both similar because of the OP/Very Strong MC.
Both are made by ONE, although OPM is ONE's story, and Mob Psycho is both art and story by ONE.
They are both very entertaining and fun to watch.
Basically the same comedy.

Both of these stories are written by ONE, and have the same sense of humor. They started out as webcomics, although you'll notice that the style is different, as OPM got picked up by a bigger company, and got a new artist, although the story is still written by ONE.
There are several theories that the worlds are actually connected.
Mob and Saitama have very similar personalities, that are along the lines of emotionless, although they both have different reasons for such.
Both build up their allies, and occasionally, foe turns into friend

Both are made by the same masterful creator, and if you love one you will certainly love the other. 
As it stands, Mob Psycho 100 is kind of like the younger, smarter brother of One Punch Man, with double the heart and a Season 2 that actually outdoes the first. 
This adaptation actually sticks to ONE's rough manga art this time round, which while it may be visually unappealing at first, you'll slowly fall in love it with every episode. 
Give it a chance and you won't be disappointed.

They are two animes by the same creators with extremely similar art and humor.

They have:

- An overpowered protagonist.

- Comedy based on the powerful protagonist and his connections with other characters.

- Scenes that can really make you laugh.

Saitama and Reigen are somewhat alike. They're both adults just tryna live life, but Saitama gets caught up in hero society bullshit meanwhile Reigen gets caught up in spirits and such.

The protagonist are in similar situations (being too op) except their viewpoints on their powers are very different. Their personalities are also very different. The two shows are also made by the same creator and therefore have a similar art style and humor lol

If you like One Punch Man I recommend Mob Psycho 100, not just because the creator is the same person, but because they are both similar, character-wise, Saitama (OPM) is a over-powered badass that just doesn't give a shit, and Mob (MP100) is a over-powered kid that sometimes gives a shit. The show is creative with it's design and they are both hilarious in their own ways. If you're a Shounen/Comedy/Action type of person, this would be a show for you.

Similar faces with simple character designs for the main character themselves. Their internal struggles and their everyday lives are relatable in their own way (excluding their superpowers).

This also includes mentor-student relationships, but have different roles.

Not only is the manga artist of these anime same, but so is their MC. If you liked OPM, you might as well appreciate Mob Psycho. Without giving any spoilers i'd say that Mob psycho is a Pg-13 anime with an overpowered kid named Shigeo, who lives a "normal" school life. This anime contains humor, action, and a so-called character development too.

Same author with the same overpowered MC trope, although this series is actually more of a heartwarming journey than OPM is. It has pretty much all of the good qualities about OPM (funny comedic moments, epic and fluid action scenes) with a much more in-depth protagonist and side cast and more stable animation consistency.

Made by the same creator it's a shounen, the main character's powers are underestimated or unknown to the world, much like Saitama whose strength and power is deeply underestimated. It's hilarious with similar humor as one punch man, and their are even hidden easter eggs hinting that One Punch Man or Saitama is connected or exists in Mob Psycho 100.

A super strong psychic buffed MC who uses psychic power to win.
The humor aspect is amazing and well written in both.
Each episode is packed with action, intensity and humor just like OPM S1.
Doesn't waste audience time with unnecessary details or unwanted flashbacks or slow dialogues/monologues.
Mob psycho is basically a Saitama with psychic strength (instead of physical) in a psychic world setting.

The protagonist of Mob Psycho 100 is a high school student with psychic powers. He is stronger than most of the characters in his show and has difficulties in fitting in his school life.

Both Stories are of people having to deal with their overwhelming power and how it affects their daily lives. I also feel both are about finding oneself, as Saitama is trying to find something that gives him that "spark", and Shigeo is trying to deal with his powers and live a normal life. Both are amazing anime and they also have wonderfully animated fight scenes and the humor is top notch! Please give both of these a watch!

The protagonists of these series have overpowered psychic abilities, so much that no one stand a chance against them. They actually have to restrain themselves so that no one else gets hurt. A big difference is that, in case of Mob Psycho, Shigeo is portrayed as a character who is as simple as he can be, so everyone at first glance won't pay any attention to him. On the other hand, Saiki from Saiki Kusuo tries his best to avoid any type of attention, and realizes no matter what he does he is going to be at the center of every little and big events around him.

If you enjoyed the comedic side of Mob Psycho, you'll definitely like Saiki Kusuo, a much less serious gag comedy focused around its similarly overpowered protagonist. While Mob is a bit out of it, Saiki is relentlessly cynical and sarcastic, giving the show a more intense, hilarious vibe compared to MP100. Don't expect touching plot or drama from Saiki K, but it's a great watch anyways. Likewise, if you enjoyed Saiki K but wish it was a tad more serious/dramatic, MP100 is wonderful. Both are great, highly recommend.

Mob Psycho 100 and The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. are both ridiculous, over the top comedy series about a teenage boy with superpowers. Each show has a part where the main character bends a spoon with his powers. There is a girl with dark blue hair who, in Mob Psycho 100, Mob has a crush on her. While in The Disastrous life of Saiki K., everyone else has a crush on her.

Just watch it and trust me. It's kinda similar. It's both really funny and random humor. Both characters are really strong. Difference is that saiki really is about the comedy but at mob pyscho it's also about crazy fighting scenes. So if you liked the overpowered part and comedy part definitely watch saiki. If you only liked the fighting part than saiki is not for you.

While the comedy is vastly different and Saiki K is episodic in nature, both anime do feature protagonists who are ESPers. Both are extremely funny and ridiculous, but Saiki K is more of a gag comedy that focuses on the silliness of the characters rather than the situations like in Mob Psycho. If you liked one, you're sure to like the other

I'm sure this connection has been made countless times but it's for completely valid reasoning.

Both share a very similar concept: MC is a school kid with overpowered psychic abilities. 
There is a heavy focus of comedy in both series.
Despite their very similar concepts, the execution is completely different for both series, with Mob Psycho 100 opting to have a few serious parts, whereas Saiki K. is primarily humour.
The animation in Mob Psycho 100 is simply breathtaking. By comparison, Saiki K. is rather lacking in those departments, though that doesn't tarnish the experience whatsoever.

TL;DR if you liked either series, you will more than likely enjoy the other. ^^ read more

Both involve overpowered psychics who don't use their powers too often for reasons. Along with a ridiculous cast of characters, but Mob Psycho 100 has a different way of storytelling and a very different art style. Both are funny though.

Mob Psycho 100 and Saiki Kusuo Psi-Nan have similar protagonists. Mob and Saiki have psychic powers and both are in school. However, as Mob uses his powers to fight villains, Saiki uses his powers to do daily chores and problems. Although both have comedy, Mob Psycho 100 have more action sequences while Saiki has more comedy.

Both these shows draw from the exact same premise. A teenage schoolboy (one in middle school and one in high school) have to deal with having psychic powers. However while they are similar in premise, they explore the idea in very different ways. Mob Psycho is primarily an action comedy while Saiki takes a more comedic approach. However both are equally great watches, even if for different reasons.

If you like the comedy in Mob Psycho 100, you will probably find The Disastrous Life of Saiki K funny as well. Both shows follow a similar plot of the protagonist holding psychic powers and experiencing the ups and downs with having those unlimited abilities. Just like Mob Psycho 100, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K has emotional, heart-warming moments. The main difference between the two shows is that The Disastrous Life of Saiki K seems more quick-paced, but that is not a bad thing.

If you like one, you'll definitely like the other. Both are comedies about a terribly over powered psychic doing his best to deal with high school life. Both try to limit the use of their powers, albeit not for the same reason. Heck, they even began airing with less than a month's difference (as well as the mangas).

Saiki is an introverted and sarcastic teen who thinks his powers, although useful, have very annoying drawbacks that stop him from either enjoying or suffering life. He just wants to live undisturbed, as normally and unnoticed as possible. Sadly, there are some very wacky and bothersome characters in school who cotinuously get in his way by trying to be his FRIENDS (how dare they!).

Kageyama (Mob) is a shy teen who's afraid of losing control of his powers and cause harm to someone. Instead of relying on abilities that, from his point of view, don't make him better or more special than others, he wants to become a better person through effort, like normal people. In this effort, he will befriend many wacky characters, who will encourage him to use his powers.

Saiki K. is all about comedy, with 5 minute episodes that throw joke after joke at the viewer. The show is fast-paced and very character-driven, with no overarching story, but a surprising amount of character development for something that's supposed to be just for the laughs.

Mob Psycho 100 is heavy in the comedy department, but also incorporates action and a bit of drama. It's mostly story-driven and has an overarching story, though character development is strong too. read more

introverts who possess immense psychic abilities? and they are not prideful about having supernatural powers? now that's what im talking about. These two have a special place in my heart as they both became my comfort anime. Although similar vibes, mob focuses more on action packed scenes, while saiki concentrates on the satire aspect. As for their personalities they are quite distinct: mob is comfortable showing a vulnerable side to him and isnt afraid to show his kindness and empathy towards others, while saiki tends to always hide his good intentions behind a cold exterior facade, he is known to have a more blunt and straightforward personality. I have a soft spot for both anime so i highly recommend watching these series.

they are both about a person with sycic abilitey and that are not happy with thear lives but in diffrent vayes. These shows are qouit simallar but saiki ficuses more on comdy slice of life and dosnt really have a big plot it follows, its baissily like the episods of mob when they dont really do anytthing but dickaround.

If you dont know saiki is about a guy with sykick powers like he baisiklly have evry power know that dosnt maek him happy qouit the oppiset, he hates that he has never workt for enything and cant even go to the movies becuse he can read minds so evry movie gets spoiled. He hates anintion he just wants to live an univentful life but it never gos his way there are a lot of pepol that just want to hang out with him or are in love with him witch he hates. I would say whatch it if you like dialog focust humar, slice of life, pardoy on the normal anime tropes and saiki is the kind of character that breaks the 4th wall but its acully funny when he dose it.

Both shows are comedies with overpowered psychic characters surrounded by mostly incompetent people. Saiki K's short burst episodes are quirky and fun while Mob Psycho has more of a continuous story. I found both shows hilarious but Mob Psycho to have more unexpected situations. Comedic anime fans will love both shows.

These two are very similar in the foundation of the characters and their interactions. Both have an op psychic protagonists who attract wacky characters, which leads to funny interactions and situations. The biggest difference is that mob psycho has an actual serious plotline, but saiki focuses solely on the comedic aspect. Aside from the fact that both protagonists are psychic they don't have much in common personality wise as well tbh.

So can two things be any more similar than this, well as far as we're talking about the main leads I can bet you it can't.

Saiki in The disastrous life of Saiki-K and Shigeo in Mob psycho 100, they both have psychic powers, which obviously they aren't very fond of. But this will lead them on a journey to be acquainted with many and many different individuals, which will open a path for them to break out of their shell and to lead a normal, usual way of living which they certainly dreamt of at some point of time. So yeah looking for a character driven plot with loads of comedy go for Saiki-K, and if both of these plus some typical shounen style fights then go for Mob psycho 100. read more

Recommending Saiki K. for fans of Mob Psycho 100 feels a little redundant at this point; after all, I'm the 50th person to do so. But you can't go wrong with fifty recommendations - these shows are remarkably similar, with the only real difference being the style of humor. MP100 is more plot-oriented, while Saiki K. is gag-based shorts. Still, they're pretty much the same show, and if you like one, I can't imagine why you wouldn't like the other.

They are both comedy animes about an overpowered psychic. Saiki K is a more relaxed and casual approach and doesn't have all the emotional aspects that mob psycho aces, so it's great if you are searching for a fun and lighthearted anime.

The main character has physic powers and each character has depth to them and character development happens gradually as you watch them in comical and serious situations-although compared to Saiki K. it a bit more focused on fighting and plot but still has the funny situations the mc has to try not to get involved in fully-All in all it is worth your time if you like the idea of ordinary people who happen to have psychic powers

Whenever I have anyone show interest in Mob Psycho, I always recommend The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. The concept itself of a young male lead with some form of enahnced power is alike for both series. While Mob Psycho generally focuses on its underlying plot point, it does also depict day-to-day experiences of its significant characters. As with Saiki K, each episode displays a slice of life aspect to the viewers involving various adversities and conflicts between the characters. While the goals of each main character differ from the other, the challenges they face are similar as they both struggle with forms of social and emotional acceptance. read more

It has the same high-school setting, and both main characters are espurr's who have their fair share of struggles in their own life due to their powers. Both characters want a normal life, in addition, there are also quirky side characters in both anime that create funny and uncomfortable situations. This is a great anime if you want a show similar to Mob Psycho but is less serious and funnier with some slice of life.

Little guys with psychic powers! Both are hilarious to watch while still keeping some aspects of action involved. In Saiki K, the main character is more annoyed with his powers and puts in great efforts to hide them, while in Mob Psycho the main character doesn't really care and works for a silly conman. All of the characters are so fun to watch I love both of these animes!! They're great for some light binging or even entertainment while eating dinner.

Fantastic fight scenes, hilarious awkward comedic beats, and serious, yet heartwarming moments. Both MP100 and Scissor Seven hit all these beats, with lovable characters driving the plot forward. MP100's stronger plot-wise, while SS is more enemy-of-the-week, and SS's humor is more adult, relative to the middle-schooler-driven MP100. Both also feature highly experimental animation styles that lend themselves to be watched over and over again. If you liked (or loved, as I do) one, you will certainly like the other!!!

'Absurd' is the perfect word to describe these shows. They're absurd, out-there, full of humor and hijinx, and they're all given character with great writing, humor, and an art style which, although not the norm, is very unique and a pleasure to watch (especially the action scenes!)
Emotional when they need to be, hitting all the right cues. A short series that will be worth your while. Chances are if you like one, you'll love the other as well!

Closest i can think with both similarities comedy, action, and animation is kind of similar but scissor seven being a chinese anime and both focus on the growth of MC.

Having watched all related series of Scissors Seven I can say this has got to be my #1 for chinese anime as chinese anime isn't that popular outside its country its really enjoyable and if you think thats all welp you gotta love the romance here it's mostly focused on the story of the mc which is already dope but add a sprinkle of romance "finally some good fvckin (Chinese) anime" and it gets better every season. 
You think the scores may be accumulated by bots or smt? I can positively say the score seems pretty accurate and even if bots do so you gotta love em for having good taste.
You may think im exagerating (maybe i am?) but this is genuinely how i meant to express dont let bias get over cuz its a chinese anime or this and that why not give it a try im sure youll enjoy it but if it doesnt suit you well atleast thanks for checking this out.  read more

Well, they both are based on random boys with special powers and how their environment is evolving.
However im pretty sure if u enjoyed or at least you found entertaining Scizor Seven, you will like Mob Psycho: They both have curious fights, a similar sense of humor, and also mcs have  "random" jobs xD that make sense knowing their abilities but still part of the comedy.

the vibe is soooo similar
-goofy humour, similar artstyle: simple character design and artstyle but still supremely animated (esp the fight scenes, god the fight scenes.)

Both deal with deadpan psychic teenagers. While MobPsycho deals with the issues of Adolescence and Hinamatsuri is just one hell of a good time, they both have amazing characters, comedic timing, and beautiful animation to truly sell the Psychic-based comedy. Middle school, socially awkward, insanely strong esper with a questionable authority figure recommending them/their friends do suspicious jobs? Perfection. Mob and Hina are both OP espers just trying to get through their daily, socially stunted lives with the occasional psychic battle on the side. With their relatively ordinary friends and their fellow espers (not quite as strong, though), they experience heartwarming relationships and life lessons.

Obviously Esp, need I explain further.

Hinamatsuri and Mob Psycho have a similar setup to one another, with both of them starring an Esper child and a "parent" figure. Both shows are comedy-focused, but Mob Psycho's comedy is more in your face compared to Hinamatsuri, but they both have similar skits at times. Both main Psychic children are bad at expressing emotions, and both "parent" figures have similar interactions with the world around them. The plotline of the shows is similar, in which things happen without a proper "goal". The side characters in both shows are really well setup when skits revolve them, but the main duo is where the comedy mostly comes from. Guardian of an esper. Hinamatsuri and Mob Psycho 100 both follow an adult with a questionable job end up having to take care and use a child esper to their benefit.

Hinamatsuri has yakuza Nitta take care of esper Hina. MP100 has self-proclaimed exorcist Reigen take care and teach Mob about being an esper, and make him exorcise spirits for Reigen.

Both are good comedy anime sharing a similar taste in the humour for each anime.

These two shows are surprisingly similar in a lot of ways. Both the main protagonists are overpowered magical espers, and both the show focuses on comedy. But Hinamatsuri has a lot of sad and profound moments that made me cry and truly made me fall in love with the show. I just want more people to watch Hinamatsuri, honestly

Both are animated by Bones and are very fluent, consistent and overall stylish with animation. Both have pretty rad supernatural elements (MP100 with psychic type powers and BnH focuses on a variety of superhero powers) Both use uncommon shots, camera angles and funky perspectives for fight scenes. Both have a unique style that you won't find in many other shows. 
Boku no Hero Academia is less comedy based than Mob Psycho 100 and Mob Psycho 100 has more of a psychedelic vibe, especially with its opening. Boku no Hero Academia has more characters and a slightly more polished style than Mob Psycho 100.
If you enjoyed the animation and artistic innovation of one series, you will probably enjoy the other. read more

This is a similar show to My Hero Academia in the sense of the basic feel for the show. When watching this, you will notice that there is not supposed to be a serious atmosphere. This is a comedy in pretty much most senses, there is no danger for the main character because of how OP he is. There are some epic fight scenes, just like My Hero Academia, that make you super hype! And after, and even during some of the fights, they add humor to make you remember that. That there is NO NEED TO FEAR, just ENJOY the epic scene!!!! Its so funny, and incredibly enticing. They are both warmhearted people with superpowers who try their very best for personal progression as well as helping others.

Mob Psycho and JJK have basically the exact same premise; there are spirits harassing people around Japan, so we have to go stop them!

Mob Psycho uses this in a more comedic approach, while JJK does the opposite, being much more serious, and relying much more on it's action.

Both are great shows, and its really interesting to see how they both handle a very similar story concept.

Fantastical allegories for male adolescence. These hilarious action series ponder the eternal question: What does it take to be cool and mature? As the protagonist encounters various authority figures, the story explores various possible answers through increasingly crazy battles.

The main difference is that FLCL leaves the interpretation up to the audience. Mob Psycho 100 is very straightforward in its delivery.

If you are looking for extremely expressive animation and bizarre story these are the shows for you. Animation in these shows is extremely good and it's followed by exciting music, although Mob relays on instrumental while FLCL uses music by band called The Pillows. 

Although both stories are mostly weird Mob Psycho 100 is easier to understand and follow.

Mob Psycho is actually a pretty unique and worthwhile series. Sort of like a mixture of FLCL, One Punch Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, and March Comes in Like a Lion. That may seem like a weird fusion, but it totally works in my opinion. Uses an exciting shonen action frame to discuss significant, resounding themes.

FLCL and Mob Psycho 100 are both wacky coming of age stories involving a middle schooler finding himself in weird supernatural situations. While Mob Psycho 100 is less weird, it still has it’s moments, but is overall much more grounded compared to the insane FLCL. Fans will want to check out the other, hopefully!

This is also about a hugely overpowered teenager who is trying to keep his emotions under wraps in order to stop himself from unleashing his true power. An absolute 10/10 on animation, story, characters and music, I cannot recommend this show enough.

These 2 works share a similar concept; both main characters are individuals with physical appearances that might make you think, "This character must be really weak." But don't be mistaken; you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. In fact, you're dealing with immensely powerful characters! Both feature non-adults that possess psychic powers, some innate (e.g. Shigeo and Akira himself), others the result of experimentation and it is the result of the heroes and companions to rescue children/teenagers who possess such power from being used for malicious purposes.

Reigen Arataka and Onizuka are highly similar in character: People who at first glance, would seem like swindlers or frauds. More than that, what makes them similar is, they genuinely care for their sidekicks/students and are ready to protect them from any harm that they may encounter. 

Imo, both Reigen's design, as well as character, is heavily inspired by Onizuka. Both also possess that subtle charisma and self-confidence that makes viewers like them.

Though Mob Psycho 100 and Kotoura-san are undeniably drastically different series, with the former being primarily a fast-paced action series and the latter being primarily a drama-focused series, I urge anyone who enjoys either of these shows to give the other a chance. 

Though the pacing and genres of these shows are different, in both you'll find touching coming-of-age stories about main characters who struggle to come to terms with their psychic powers. 

Both have their fair share of comedy and light-hearted scenes to go along with their heavier scenes, and though I would argue that the comedy in MP100 is better timed and hits more often than it does in Kotoura-san, Kotoura-san definitely still has it's share of funny scenes. 

If it matters to you, both series also feature school-settings and have some focus on different clubs. 

Once again, these series definitely both have some of the same strong points with supernatural and coming-of-age themes, and if you liked one for any of these reasons, I highly recommend checking the other out! read more

I do have to mention that there aren't any psychic powers in Kai Byoui Ramune as there are in Mob Psycho 100. Though Dr. Ramune doesn't have money on his mind while guiding their pupil.

I'm really surprised no one has done this.

Both Kekkai Sensen and Mob psycho feature an insecure boy trying to figure out life and their powers.

Both protagonists have passive personalities. 

Both have a totally different visual style but feature unique animation.

If you like lovable scumbags that somehow develop the MC (aka- Reigen/Dimple for MPO or Libra for BBB) then I would recommend this.

Both main characters do not have many friends and are always lonely because nobody understands them. Turns out mob and the main character dorotabo have powers and they meet a man who eventually becomes their sensei. The senseis accept the kid and take them in as their apprentice to go on journeys to deal with evil forces/ghosts/ghouls etc. As the main characters spends time with the sensei, they begin to open up and grow as a character.

both animes are about the main character are able to see ghosts. They are gifted in the 6th sense. For Mob, he is able to exorcist demons, and for Meiruko, so far nothing can protect her because her spiritual powers is way too strong.

I enjoy both of them because after every episode, its very wholesome and heartwarming.

Trigun and Mob Psycho both engage with deep philosophical questions relating to violence, nonviolence, and the value of human life. The protagonists are also similar in that they both have immense power, and engage with the responsibility that comes with it.

Mob Psycho is, however, much more lighthearted and comedic than Trigun, and takes a more optimistic tone overall.

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! addpermalink

It remindeds one of Chuunibyou as one of the characters wonders whether Mob (the protagonist) has Chuunibyou, only that Mob's powers are real, so it's like Chuunibyou but with real supernatural powers.

The set of main characters are in their second year of junior high school and undergoing great emotional upheavals and life crisis, so the overall psychological situation of the characters is very similar.

If you didn't care about the character designs and CGI and loved the fights in Mob Psycho 100, then Arifureta is the perfect choice for you. Even though the CGI and character designs of 'monsters' are not good, the character design of the main characters is too pure. And the fights are almost mesmerizing which will make you rewatch the anime many times.

Both are very well animated and experimental, while also being genuinely touching despite having generally wacky looking character designs. I'd consider both shows to be pretty character driven stories, and side characters from either show end up being pretty memorable despite not being focused on much. There are also similar themes addressed. Kaiba is definitely a more upsetting watch, but I'd say both shows manage a weird mix of both light-hearted and emotional.

Overall they may not seem all that similar, Mitsumi is an ordinary high school girl while Mob is an insanely powerful esper but I think they are similar in the sense of their wholesomeness. 

Both explore the everyday lives of a 14/15 year old student and the audience gets to watch these characters fall down and get back up again (quite literally), as they push themselves to become better, not giving up on achieving their goals. If you enjoyed STL because of Mitsumi’s attitude you might also find yourself enjoying watching Mob too.

Both of these series are also super funny but can be super emotional and moving too. Both series show love in all its forms, with the bonds shared between characters being one of the things that makes them both so wonderful. read more

Taken in. Mob Psycho 100 and The Boy and The Beast follow kids taken in by someone in a manner that is along the lines of parenting, but they act as a guardian.

MP100 follows esper Mob trying to make good use of his powers via Reigen and his business, Boy and Beast are similar with an irresponsible Kumatetsu pair up with a bratty Ren, both making each other grow stronger by pointing out their different flaws.

Both are good anime with there being action in both, as well as some comedy. Though MP100 is more ingrained in the two genres than the lighter Boy and Beast.

Family with the alien one. Mob Psycho 100 and Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms both follow a non-human being paired up with a family with a regular human being.

Though, Mob is being used for Reigen's antics of exorcism. Promised Flower gives more of a family situation at hand.

Both are great anime with amazing visuals in their own respective rights. Though MP100 is more comedy, borderline parody. Whilst Promised flower is a nice drama in a fantasy realm.

Young students, some weird monsters, and a ton of fighting. MP100 and WEP have a lot of differences between the two but they cross paths with young individuals being tasked to go out and use their unnatural abilities to fight those that cause havoc. 

MP100 does this with Mob and the world of espers and spirits, WEP does this with Ai and her group in these unearthly atmospheres reigned by demons of some kind. Both anime also have a supplier type character who sets them on such missions. 

Would also like to point out the drastic presentation differences of how MP100 is essentially something that would most likely be for a shounen demographic in comparison to the mentally breaking real world WEP doesn't take too many laughs at. Both are very good visual pieces if nothing else.

To put it simply: Parasyte: the Maxim is a sci-fi horror-thriller and Mob Psycho is pretty much the opposite. That said, the core of both of these stories is in parallel. They are both stories about compartmentalizing and stifling ones emotions in order to navigate ones life and experiences. Both protagonists grow by finding a way to get in touch with their emotions and accept themselves for who they are. They learn how to process their emotions and their respective genres and worlds serve as a landscape to showcase this journey. Gate Keepers really feels like a spiritual successor to Mob Psycho.

Premise - ESP wielding Japanese teens balance their struggle against the supernatural and maturing alongside their peers. Ensemble cast of quirky, distinctive kids with a variety of powers centered around the Protagonist.

Protagonist - Shigeo is different from Shun certainly. Shigeo's OP, Shun isn't really. But this ties in nicely in my head-canon, because Shun from Gatekeepers is voiced by Sakurai Takahiro, who also voices Reigen on Mob. Shun is always overly cocky and extroverted, so in my mind its kind of like a Reigen-centric coming of age prequel xD 
(What if Reigen had powers as a kid and lost them, and then lies so much to compensate for this loss later in life? :OO)

Bonus connection - The design of one of the characters on GK, Kageyama Reiji, reminds me strongly of when we first meet Hanazawa Teru in Mob. (Blond, aloof, uses powers to gain popularity and influence within the school, etc) read more

- Non-neurotypical main character. Has certain special abilities but difficulty navigating social situations with their peers. Doesn't emote very much/very well.
- Colorful and interesting art style
- Not the kind of art style you'd enjoy if you want to be thirsty for some pretty characters. Just not that kind of show in either case.
- Utterly sincere main character surrounded by charming scammer-types, whom you can root for against the worse-intentioned less-charming criminal types.

Both of these shows are technically action genre, but the resolution of problems has much more to do with confronting the personal issues and motivations of the antagonists, who are often morally grey or confused instead of outright villainous. The main character isn't your typical hero, and their unusual-ness helps highlight the mundane humanity of everyone else. When the action does hit, you'll be on the edge of your seat. But in between you'll get to enjoy the humor of a couple people just being kinda awkward around each other. read more

After death the bad spirits stay behind to haunt and some people in these animes can even see them and exorcise them.
Even if "Mob psycho" and "Dark Gathering" have different focus but their basic story is the same. That is they are both a world of extraterrestrials.
In Mob psycho, Mob can see and exorcise spirits using his psychic powers on the other hand in Dark Gathering Yayoi can see and capture them. So they are pretty comparable.

Both of these shows have well-animated psychic/magic action scenes that express a similar style and vibe, especially in later episodes. Both main characters are OP and have a strong dichotomy between who they are in and out of battle. Both shows have a small, floating, supernatural, and somewhat irritating sidekick.

The main difference is that 7th Prince uses mild ecchi as relief while Mob Psycho uses gag comedy.

- Many spoons are bent.
- There is a persistent ghost.
- There are fake psychics.
- And artificially produced psychics.
- The artificial psychics were produced by a secret organization, who wants to use artificial and natural psychics for its own purposes.
- The secret organization wants to use the protagonist, thus getting in conflict with him and his buddies.

Eizouken and Mob Psycho are pretty different in terms of tone and subject matter, but where they both shine is in their animation. The teams of both have a clear passion for and deep respect of art and animation, and give unique spins to their styles to accentuate different aspects. Eizouken's sketchy sequences which blend imagination and reality are breathtakingly beautiful and extremely fun, while MP100 uses techniques like paint-on-glass to capture an ethereal and otherworldly vibe.

Humor is pretty similar for both series. Often, they will take "realistic" set-ups and exaggerate them for the sake of comedy, while still maintaining a down-to-earth feeling and sincere characters. Both follow unique and charming protagonists in a slice-of-life setting. 

Although one is a slice-of-life about making anime, and the other is a shounen about psychics, both are heartfelt, sincere anime about being true to yourself and putting in hard work to become the best possible version of yourself. read more

Twin Star Exorcists and Mob Psycho 100 are both shows, with a ridiculous team of people who exorcise evil spirits. Each series has some scenes that take place in a school. The protagonist(s) in each series are in middle school. Each show has a family dynamic, in Twin Star Exorcists it is more of a groups of people who basically consider each other family. There is also a ridiculous character, who is the boss of the protagonist(s).

FMA03 and MP100 have one really important thing in common, to me: despite featuring characters with awesome superpowers (and therefore potential for dozens of drawn-out epic fight scenes), they have a pointed focus on the NARRATIVE and EMOTIONAL stakes of each battle rather than the scale or badassery. It's a couple minutes of action framed by hours of context, reflections, trauma, evaluation, etc. What ultimately matters isn't the physical strength or creative abilities of the protagonist, but their reasons for acting the way they do and how they deal with the choices they make.

03!FMA is distinctly less prototypical-shounen-y than the source manga or Brotherhood adaptation, which to me is one of its strongest suits. Battles are incredibly few and far between, and last a couple minutes at maximum because the focus is instead on how the characters react to the conflict.

Mob Psycho 100 is concerned above all else with the mental and emotional state of its ridiculously powerful protagonist; the psychic abilities he wields themselves are entirely secondary to this. The story is about dealing with emotions far more than it is about using psychic powers, and I think it has that in common with 03FMA, which has very few and very intimate conflicts that serve the characters' development, rather than cool grand-scale alchemical duels between stronk dudes.

(Don't expect another Edward, though. If anyone Mob is much more like Alphonse.) read more

Another similairity is that they both mostly fight ghosts or spirits. They even both are part of some sort of exorcising agency, where they are not the boss but they are the most potent fighter.

There are two defining traits that come to mind when comparing these series. The first and probably most obvious is the supernatural theme. Both Devilman and Mob Psycho feature battles against supernatural forces, often delving into Lovecraftian-levels of horror. 

The second common trait is the use of unique art styles to create equally-unique character animation. The animators were not afraid to go off-model when creating scenes in both Devilman and Mob Psycho, showcasing warped and squished faces and bodies to excellent effect. The use of sakuga is also prevalent throughout both series.

So if you like supernatural horror-action pieces that showcase unique animation styles, you can't go wrong with either. Also, as a final note, they are both regarded as one of the best anime to come out in their respective year. Devilman is WAAAYY more mature than Mob in terms of content, but the similarities exist nonetheless. read more

Both are very comedic but also have a serious and cool side to them, overall both very fun series with interesting characters and some serious undertones

Mob Psycho 100 and Hugtto Precure have the same message. Reflected in both of their OPs, the message of "You can do anything! You can be anything! Your life is your own!" is very heartwarming and fans of one should probably watch the other. Although they have different genres, both have a similar overarching theme, as well as great characters.

Similarities:
-Mob and Negishi are quite similar in terms of personality (a very calm person who could change into someone different in a certain situation).
-Both focused on Comedy.
-Simple yet unique art style.

Differences:
-Detroit Metal City is about Music, while Mob Psycho 100 is about Supernatural things.
-DMC's comedy is more mature compared to the comedy in Mob Psycho 100.

Both feature teenagers with powers in a world much like our own where monsters of some kind abound (spirits in Mob Psycho 100, demons in Yu Yu Hakusho).
Both main casts comprise:
-a protagonist with a lot of spirtual/psychic power (Mob and Yusuke)
-a goofy comic relief that still contibutes to the team on his on way (Reigen and Kuwabara)
-a ladies man that is originally a villain but turns good (Teru and Kurama)
-an edgelord that also turns good after being antagonistic at first (Ritsu and Hiei)

Space☆Dandy addpermalink

-Both were animated by Studio BONES and utilize animation techniques not often seen in anime.
-Dandy, the main character of Space Dandy, is similar to Reigen in the sense that they are both deadbeat adults that are always looking for ways to make easy money but are still very charming and likeable because of how humorous and sometimes absurd their antics are. 
-Despite their humorous nature however, both shows can be quite emotional at times, when they focus on human relationships and the loss of one's loved ones.
-Some key differences are the settings (Space Dandy is in space, while Mob Psycho in a small town) and the relevance of the deadbeat adult, in Mob Psycho he's just a secondary (but still relevant) chararacter, while in Space Dandy he's the protagonist. read more

If you want to see the main character as a all powerful protagonist hero. I'll gladly recommend "Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei". In both anime the main protagonist is the most strongest yet no one recognized it first. And you can find similarity both in psychic and magical power. Hope you can enjoy both.

Sasaki to Pii-chan addpermalink

Both are action/comedy anime that has a powerful protagonist who tries to juggle normal life while being surrounded by people with psychic/super powers. Both Sasaki and Mob are guided by a "mentor" figure to achieve their goals. 

Mob 100 has more slice-of-life/school elements while Sasaki to Pii-chan has more isekai/fantasy element with office and adult elements. Both appear to have a laid-back approach while having a serious undertone.

- Similar character designs, especially the facial features (mainly the eyes). 
- Both anime follow groups of Japanese kids, including delinquents, trying to find meaning in their lives.
- They share an offbeat sense of humor, though Mob is a lot more pronounced with its jokes, compared to the dryer humor in Ongaku.
- They shift to experimental, abstract animation styles during big emotional moments.
