  • Please be patient while it preps your system for the basic PTS commands to work.

  • After the script completes, run the following command to install the rest of the super essential PTS services and programs (e.g. Docker, Ansible, Rclone) and note that it is your choice to choose the latest stable release or the latest beta. New users who don't as many unexpected bugs should choose the latest stable release:

`sudo pts

Read the Following Useful Notes:

  • Before dishing out tons of money on a server, test PTS on a Virtual Machine or Hetzner Cloud. You may even consider using some of your free $300 credits for Google Compute Engine (GCE) that comes standard with every Google account, including personal Gmail accounts! It's easy to deploy like many VPSes and it can be destroyed just as quickly as it's deployed; however, you get the benefits of expensive dedicated servers: a dedicated connection that is 10 gigabits per second up and down, options for fast SSDs or NVMEs, dedicated CPU cores and RAM, and a dedicated static IP address! For more info on GCE, please see this page.

  • Be on guard with a VPS. Certain VPS providers modify their Ubuntu images that may result in PTS not being able to work. Also, certain VPS providers will ban you if their processors are taxed. Ya, they tell you that you have 4 cores, but get upset when you max it.

  • When Installing PlexGuide or using PlexGuide, you must utilize a sudo user or root user. For security reasons, you should just create a new account and add it to the sudo user group and use that account to SSH in. If you are using a GCE instance, the account that you are in by default (the one resembling your gmail/gsuite username) when you SSH to your server will already be added to the sudo group.

  • If this is your first time, it's ok to botch up the install or make mistakes. Just wipe and do it again!
