George Austin Welsh (1878-1970) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

He was nominated by President Herbert Hoover on April 14, 1932 to replace Joseph Whitaker Thompson.[1] He was confirmed by the Senate on May 19th, and received commission May 20, 1932. On August 29, 1957, he assumed senior status and continued to serve in this capacity until his death on October 22, 1970. Welsh succeeded in this position by Thomas Egan.
