Akkala Wilds
The Akkala Wilds are a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]
Features and Overview
Breath of the Wild
The Akkala Wilds are located in Deep Akkala, west of Tumlea Heights. They span all the way to the edge of Eldin. Several Ore Deposits, including Rare Ore Deposits, are found along the cliffs on its southern border. There are several small forests among the Akkala Wilds, which are filled with Mushrooms and other Materials. In addition, many Fallen Guardians are found in the area, which can be scavenged for Ancient Materials. Dinraal will fly over the Akkala Wilds on occasion. While it does not get close enough to the ground for Link to reach, it does cause a strong Wind to sweep over the area.
A single Monster Stronghold, filled with a variety of Bokoblins, is found in the Akkala Wilds. If Link defeats all of the Enemies, he will be able to open their Treasure Chest, which contains a Drillshaft. A Blue-Maned Lynel also patrols the eastern side of the Akkala Wilds.
While the "[Xenoblade Chronicles 2]" Side Quest is active, Link can stand on the left eye of Skull Lake, causing a Treasure Chest to fall from the sky and land in the Akkala Wilds. This Chest contains the Salvager Vest.
A total of six Korok Seed Puzzles can be found hidden among the Akkala Wilds. When Link solves each of these Puzzles, a Korok will appear, which then proceeds to give Link a Korok Seed as a reward.[3] They are in the following locations:
- Under a Natural Hiding Spot, located in a dead Tree on the western side of the Akkala Wilds.
- A Rock Pattern, south of the Monster Stronghold.
- Under a Natural Hiding Spot, which is concealed by a Boulder southeast of the Monster Stronghold.
- Under a Natural Hiding Spot, hidden by a rock slab east of Skull Lake.
- Hitting a Boulder from Tumlea Heights into a hole in the Akkala Wilds. This task may cause Link to pass through the territory of the Blue-Maned Lynel. Note, the boulder in the north of the Akkala Wilds, that provides a natural hiding spot for another Korok, cannot be used for this "golf game" puzzle.
- At the end of a Flower Trail, east of the ruins.
