The Borg Cube record player is coming, resistance is futile

What's a thing you never knew you needed but you absolutely need? Why a Borg Cube record player of course! Resistance (to disco beats) is futile!

This is coming soon from CherryTree, makers of Borg Cube PCs, and yes, this is also a PC as well! Here it is in action:

CherryTree fire a shrinking ray at their Picard Borg Cube PC

Borg Cube PC makers Cherry Tree have created a miniaturised version of their Picard Borg Cube model. The new Picard ITX Borg Cube PC is 7.5 inches either side, making it an eighth the size of the larger ATX model. Just like the larger version it can bit fitted out with different specs, based around either Intel or AMD processors, or you can just get it as a case to build however you like.

Cherry Tree assimilate new ideas to create the Borg Cube ITX PC mark II

Makers of Borg Cube PCs, Cherry Tree, have remade their smaller Cube PC, the ITX, to create the new mark II model. Here's how the describe what they've done in their announcement:
Every company has that one product they look back at and think, “Why did we do it like this and not the other way?” A few weeks ago we came to this point with our little ITX Borg Cube, so we decided to reengineer the interior completely from scratch and the results are truly amazing. We were not only able to create more room inside and make the assembly easier, but also improve thermals. The Intel i7-9700 model plateaus at 69-71 degrees at 100% load. Every Borg Cube ITX mk ii build comes with 2 HDPLEX 200W DC-ATX Power Supplies, Noctua NH-L9i CPU Cooler and improved fans. Did we mention we also were able to lower the price?

The 7.5 inch cubed PC is available in either black or a translucent green variant. It is also available either as a fully built PC, or just a case, to build as you like. I believe the exterior is the same as previous versions of the ITX, but here's a look at the redesigned insides (you can compare to the previous version in one of my earlier reports):

Cherry Tree reveal their Pixmit hoodie

Borg Cube PC makers Cherry Tree have revealed the final look of their pixmit hoodies, which are part of a pack of goodies you can get when you order one of their Picard Borg Cube PCs. The pixmet, (sort of Romulan tarot cards) "destroyer" card was of course featured in Picard, giving Cherry Tree a chance to produce a really distinct bit of Trek merch. Check out below, plus a look at their actual PCs!

New Picard merch reveals The Destroyer

Following the reveal of the Romulan pixmit cards and figure of Seb-Cheneb, or The Destroyer, in the latest episode of Picard, Star Trek merch makers have taken the opportunity to build upon Romulan mythology themselves - Or at least print some stuff, which means we can have a closer look at the artwork!

CherryTree launch their Picard Borg Cube

CherryTree, makers Borg Cubes PCs (surely some sort of cunning domestic assimilation plan from the collective), have launched their latest model, the limited edition Star Trek Picard Borg Cube. This cube stands apart from its predecessors thanks to its unique design, with an inset sub-cube, and forcefield protected voids, all of which are brought to life with some fancy lighting.

USS Enterprise and Borg Cube PCs, and other Trek gadgetry

Got a round up of the latest Star Trek gadgets today, including USB sticks hidden in insignia badges, a wireless charger, and the latest Borg Cube PC. But first, the most extraordinary Star Trek PC so far released:

Remember the USS Enterprise shaped PC that Lenovo were showing off last year? Well they and Tiburn (aka Titanium Technology) only went and actually brought it to market! This starship-shaped computer has been licensed for release in twenty-five countries, which I assume is covering the Asian market, as so far it has been offered via crowd funders in China (via JD Finance) and Japan (Makuake) - These were run earlier this year, and the PCs are starting to arrive with backers now.

Check out this snazzy video which shows of the features of the starship computer:

New ITX Borg Cube PC from Cherry Tree

Cherry Tree, makers of Borg Cube PCs, have announced a new smaller model in their range. The ITX PC is a little bigger than their smallest (the Micro), but still pretty compact, at eight inches cubed. The slightly bigger design than the Micro allows it room for a graphics card. The ITX is available either as a fully fitted out PC (to whatever spec you provide from a myriad of options), or just a case ready to build your own. Continue below for a closer look, and more details.

First starship model reveal from Picard is... a PC!

Cherry Tree, makers of Borg Cube PCs have teased a forthcoming Picard tie-in release, the first model ship so far seen from the series. Due to be exhibited at the Star Trek Las Vegas convention is the Star Trek: Picard Borg Cube ATX Limited Collectors Edition - Which one assumes is a new version of their larger Borg Cube PC model.

They've shared a couple of pictures of the finishing touches being put to what is now a familiar Borg Cube variation seen in the Picard trailer, giving us a slightly closer look at the new variant design -Is it battle damaged? Is that a baby Borg Cube about to pop out the corner? Is it a Star Trek Armada II style Fusion Cube? (Ok probably not the last one) Who knows! But hopefully we'll at least get a better look from all sides when it arrives at the convention.

Check it out, along with other variants, below:

Latest previews of Cherry Tree's Borg Cube PCs

Cherry Tree have been showing off their newly launched Borg Cube PCs. As you might recall from the announcement earlier in the year, they will be offering two different models, at different sizes - The smaller of the two, the Micro (6 inchs each side) has already launched, and now the larger Borg VR Cube (14 inches each side) is ready for orders too.

To show off the model, Cherry Tree have put together this rather dramatic video preview:

Your next PC could be a Borg Cube

New Star Trek licensee Cherry Tree have announced a new range of Star Trek PCs, which are also models of Borg Cubes!

They will be offering two different Cubes. The smaller Borg Cube PC will be six inches wide, and it will be possible to configure it to various specs. This will be offered as a double limited edition, with 359 each (for the Battle of Wold 359) available for the US and European markets.

The larger model will be the Borg Cube VR, a gaming computer with higher specs, and an imposing twelve inch model. This will also be a limited edition, but of how many has not been revealed.

Pre-orders for the PCs will be available from Cherry Tree in September, with them expecting to ship on Black Friday (November).
