Is An Announcement Imminent For The Clone Wars?

No Announcement On The Clone Wars Season Six So as I write this there has been no official announcement regarding season six of Star Wars The Clone Wars. We all know that Disney bought Lucasfilm late last year and as a result we all expected The Clone Wars to jump ship from The Cartoon Network to Disney. When The Cartoon Network last month published their TV line up for the following year The Clone Wars was missing from that line up. I expected Disney to chip in and say they were showing season six on one of their channels but so far we've had nothing. Yesterday I asked someone at Disney Online if they could give any information regarding the show and sadly was met with very little information. What was said was: "Unfortunately, we do not have information on future programs until they are officially announced." Now you can accuse me of clutching at straws here but that last bit intrigued me. "...until they are officially announced." Does that mean that...

Quick Fire Questions With Consetta Parker

This weeks quick fire questions are kindly being answered by Consetta Parker. Consetta appears on the excellent  Full Of Sith podcast  along with Tha Mike Pilot and Bryan Young.  As if that wasn't enough, she is also a media consultant for none other than  Rancho Obi-Wan .  Talk about keeping busy! With all that going on it was nice of Consetta to spare a few minutes to answer our questions.  So lets fire away. 1 You're stuck in a swamp on Dagobah.  What one movie, TV show, album and book would you take? My initial thought is I’d take The Empire Strikes Back (for landscape references and it’s my favorite Star Wars film), my Buffy DVD’s, The Monkees “listen to the Band” CD boxed set  and my Jedi Journal I’ve been keeping since the fourth grade. 2 If you could invite any three people (alive or not, fictitious or not) to a dinner party, who would they be? Han Solo, Tony Stark and Chief ...

Making of Digital New York for The Avengers – Industrial Light & Magic

Those clever folks over at Industrial Light & Magic have released another reel today showing off the work they did on The Avengers. Although roughly a third of "The Avengers" is set in New York City precious little was actually filmed there. ILM crew members photographed 7-miles of city streets from a variety of heights and at different times of day totaling 250,000 images. The crew then digitally recreated roughly 20 square blocks of mid-town Manhattan using a variety of techniques. Live action shoots were held primarily on sound stages in New Mexico and in the streets of Cleveland.

Mark Hamill Wants All Of The Original Cast Back Not Just One

Bring them back now. Mark Hamill has told ET Movies that he is interested in returning to the Star Wars universe and George Lucas asked him if he would be willing to return. However one condition Hamill seems to insist on is that the whole cast is brought back. "another thing I'd want to make sure of is are we going to have the whole gang back? Is Carrie and Harrison and Billy Dee and Tony Daniels, everybody that's around from the original [returning]? I want to make sure that everybody's on board here, rather than just one. I guess I'll have to tune into your show to figure out who's on board." "I'm assuming, because I haven't talked to the writers, that these movies would be about our offspring -- like my character would be sort of in the Obi-Wan range [as] an influential character. … When I found out [while making the original trilogy] that ultimate good news/bad news joke – the good news is there's a real attractive, hot girl ...

Steven Spielberg Makes Red Carpet Appearance At ACE Awards

S teven Spielberg attended the ACE (American Cinema Editors) awards where he was honoured with the ACE Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award. He explained to the audience that he regards the editing suite as a sacred hallow of film making. “Editing and directing are almost interchangeable,” Spielberg said. “I’ve always looked at the editing room as the safe haven of second chances … Editors, everybody here: You are my heroes.” Spielberg was joined on the red carpet and the event itself by his wife Kate Capshaw, daughter Destry Allyn Spielberg and Kate's daughter from a previous marriage Jessica Capshaw. Collection Of Fan Made Star Wars VII Movie Posters

W ith the web being hit daily with fan made Star Wars VII posters, here are a selection of the best ones so far.

Kathleen Kennedy no longer producing Jurassic Park IV

I've just popped over to JurassicParkIV.org where I find out they had asked Frank Marshall via Twitter if Kathleen Kennedy will be producing Jurassic Park IV.  They were lucky enough to get a reply. "No Ms Kathleen Kennedy has moved on to Star Wars and will not be producing JP4.  She's traded raptors for TIE fighters." R Wainfur @welshslider

John Williams Expresses Interest In Scoring Star Wars VII

John Williams  The excellent John Williams website J WFAN.com has had a forum member post an interesting post about what John Williams said while conducting at the Young Musician’s Foundation Debut Orchestra “We’re about to play Star Wars [audience interrupts with cheers] and each time we play it, I’m reminded of the first time we played it decades ago. Neither I, nor George, nor anyone else involved thought this would go far or in a few years there would be a sequel and I’d have to revisit the themes…and years later another trilogy. Now we’re hearing of a new set of movies coming in 2015, 2016…so I need to make sure I’m still ready to go in a few years for what I hope would be continued work with George…[more cheers].” Well to me that shows that the master is not thinking of hanging up the Star Wars baton just yet. YEEEESSSSS!!! Rob Wainfur @welshslider

Quick Fire Questions - This Week JawsCollector's Jim Beller

Jim Beller and a tiny part of his Jaws collection T his week we fire our quick fire questions at Jim Beller of JawsCollector.com .  Jim probably has the largest collection of Jaws memorabilia around and looking at the items on his site will make you insanely jealous.  He is to Jaws what Steve Sansweet is to Star Wars. Jim also worked on the fantastic book Memories From Martha's Vineyard which he conceptualised.  Think you've seen every behind the scenes Jaws photo?  Think again.  If you're a Jaws fan and haven't read this book yet then you are missing out on THE best Jaws behind the scenes book.   Read our review here. So lets fire those questions at the number one Jaws fan. You're stuck in a swamp on Dagobah. What one movie, TV show, album and book would you take? JAWS, Man Vs Wild (not a big fan of the show and would rather take 24, The Brady Bunch or Breaking Bad, but, hey, I'm stuck on a swamp planet and need to know how to survive...
