Justice John A. Manglona has been a justice for over twenty years. Governor Pedro P. Tenorio initially appointed him in early 2000, and the CNMI Senate unanimously confirmed the appointment. Justice Manglona successfully underwent two retention elections to serve eight-year terms.

Chief Justice Alexandro C. Castro was appointed by Governor Benigno R. Fitial on September 13, 2012, and became the fourth Chief Justice of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands upon his confirmation by the Senate on October 11, 2012

Justice Perry Borja Inos ascended to the Supreme Court in 2013 after serving as an Associate Judge on the Superior Court since 2008. Governor Benigno R. Fitial appointed him to both courts. Justice Inos successfully underwent retention elections in 2012 and 2020.
