Story: A boat exploted leaving a lot of criminals dead; the only survivor is a handicap man named Verbal Kint, who tells the twisted story that lead to the events, that happened while doing a job for a legendary mobster named Keyser Soze.

The Twist: Verbal Kint is Keyser Soze and walks out of the Police Station before anyone realises the story he told was improvised there

'It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything'



Story: A insomniac man who plans to change his boring life meets a guy named Tyler Durden, a soap maker who teaches him a new philosophy of life and gets him into underground fights clubs and terrorist attacks.

The Twist: Tyler Durden doesn't really exist, he is in the Narrator's head.

'Hate is baggage. Life's too short to be pissed off all the time. It's just not worth it'



Story: After being in jail for murder for 3 years, former neo-nazi skinhead, Derek Vinyard, is shocked to find out that his younger brother Danny is following his path. He is determined to prevent that and Danny remembers the events that happened before Derek went to jail.

The Twist: After the party, we expect either the neo-nazis attack them or the live a normal life. But not, Danny gets killed in the school bathroom by two black boys. Ironic.

'The lucky never realizes they are lucky until it's too late'



Story: A man named Slevin is mistaken for his missing friend and must work for two mob bosses who hate each other, while he is also chased by a detective and stalked by the cruel assassin Goodkat.

The Twist: Slevin had planned everything. He made the two bosses go to war to avenge his family, killed by them. The detective was also involved and Goodkat was the assassind sent to eliminate Slevin as a child, but the man sort of adopted the boy instead.

'What's in the box?'



Story: Two detectives, Mills and Somerset, are on the run to stop a serial murderer who uses the seven deadly sins as his modus operandi.

The Twist: The killer, John Doe, turns himself in and promises to reveal where the las two victims are. The two detectives drive the man to the apparent location when a delivery van drops a box containing Mills' wife's head, whom Doe had killer for envy (sixth sin). Mills then shoots him dead using his wrath (seventh sin), according to Doe's plans.

'Are you watching closely?'



Story: Two magician friends, Alfred Borden and Robert Angier become enemies when, while a performance, Angier's wife dies due to a mistake made by Borden. Both men Become obsessed to perform the best illusion: teleportation.

The Twist: This films has actually two twists...
1. Borden and Fallon were identical twins who alternate and lived the same life. Borden was in love with his wife, Sarah and Fallon loved Olivia, the assistant. Fallon is the one who is executed for Angier's death.
2. The machine built by Testa didn't just teleport Angier, it created a clone which was killed every night. Borden is arrested for apparently killing Angier, who was actually a clone.

'I have to return some videotapes'



Story: Patrick Bateman is a wealthy, handsome young executive who hides his real personality: a psychopath with no mercy who finds pleasure in torture and murder.

The Twist: Bateman didn't commit any of those crimes, though he believed he had. They were only fantasies of his sick mind. Or maybe not?

'We all go a little mad sometimes'



Story: A secretary steals money from her employer to marry her love and escapes. When caught by a storm, she has to find shelter and stays in a motel run by Norman Bates, dominated by his cruel mother.

The Twist: The mother had been dead for a long time and the killer was actually Norman, who had developed another personality and even dressed as his mother.

'Do you know why you're afraid when you're alone?'



Story: A child psychologist must work with a problematic whose mother is desperate. The man soon learns that the boy can speak and see the dead, who only want his help

The Twist:The psychologist is a ghost and doesn't know he's dead until he hears his wife talking in his sleep. He died years ago shot by a patient who also saw the dead.

'Laugh and the world laughs with you. Weep and you weep alone'



Story: A man is kidnapped and imprisoned for 15 years without an apparent reason. After his release he discovers he has 5 days to find the captor and the motives that lead him to that cell.

The Twist: What the man did or saw to end up there may be a twist; but let's admit it, the most shocking thing is that he had sex with his daughter.

'We gotta get off this rock, Chuck'



Story: In the 50s, US Marshall, Teddy Daniels, is sent to Shutter Island to investigate the disappearance of a patient who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane. He starts to suspect about a conspiracy in the hospital, involving radical treatments, while he is haunted by images of his dead wife and Laeddis, her killer.

The Twist: It was all a set up. There wasn't a missing patient, Teddy was the patient, and his name was actually Andrew Laeddis. His wife had killed their children and he had killed her after, so his mind elaborated a different story where he was the hero. The doctors had planned everything so that he would realise the truth.

'It's a mad house! A mad house!'



Story: A group of astronauts land on a planet ruled by civilized, talking, intelligent apes, while the humans are enslaved and uncivilized.

The Twist: The Planet of the Apes was Planet Earth in the future. The crew didn't travel to another planet, the had actually traveled in time

'Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies'



Story: In the 40s, Andy Dufresne is imprisoned and sentenced to death for the murder of his wife and her lover. There he meets Red, an old prisoner, who soon learns Andy is an unconventional man.

The Twist: We all wanted Andy to escape, especially after hearing Tommy's story, that confirmed his innocence. But he got away when we less expected; we though Red would be released and do what Andy told him, but not that Andy became a free man first.

'As I was going up the stairs, I met a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. I wish, I wish he'd go away'



Story: On a rainy night, ten strangers are stranded in an isolated motel, with a killer on the loose that is taking them one by one.

The Twist:There was never such motel. The ten strangers were ten different personalities of a man named Malcom Rivers, who would be convicted for some munders unless the 'killing personality' dissapeared. We all believe it's Rhodes, but it turns out to be the little boy.

'The only thing that burns in Hell is the part of you that won't let go of life, your memories, your attachments. They burn them all away'



Story: A vietnam veteran trying to rebuild his life is haunted by flashbacks of his first marriage, his dead son and the war, while reality crumbles and separating it from delusion becomes more and more complicated

The Twist:Jacob was dead; he never left Vietnam and his 'life' was only a dream he had while he was dying.

'Do you got any suits at home or do you like to come to work like you're gonna invade Poland?'



Story: A state cop infiltrated in an Irish gang and a mole from that gang in the police force try to uncover each other, before being exposed as each side realizes there is a rat between them.

The Twist: Costigan (the cop) arrests Sullivan (the gang mole) and everything is great... until Costigan is shot in the head by another mole from Costello, Barrigan. Sullivan is believed a hero but Dignam, who knew who he really was goes to his house and kills him.

'Some things in their natural state have the most vivid colors'



Story: A policeman recieves a letter informing of the disappearance of a little girl in an isolated island village. The townspeople claim she never existed but the man is determined to find her, even when he starts seeing the strange rites that the locals perform.

The Twist: The girl was never missing. The locals made up a plan to bring the policeman to the island and sacrifice him in a rite.

'There's no right, there's no wrong, there's only popular opinion'



Story: A lethal virus forced in 1996 devastated humanity. Survivors were forced to live underground. In 2035, James Cole, a convict, is forced to travel back in time and discover the origin of the epidemy, apparently released by the 'Army of the Twelve Monkeys'.

The Twist: The Army of the Twelve Monkeys was an animal rights group which released some animals from the zoo the same day that Dr. Peter released the virus. And the man Cole has seen being murder was actually himself as an adult.

'No matter how cleverly you sneak up on a mirror, your reflection always looks you straight in the eye'



Story: An investigator named Harry Angel is by a misterious man named Louis Cyphre to find the rocker Johnny Favourite. But things get more complicated as he gets into the dark world of the voodoo.

The Twist: Angel was Favourite and Louis Cyphre was the Devil. Angel had made a pact with Satan himself some time ago. (Didn't you think Louis Cyphre was very similar to Lucifer?)

'Discovering the object of the game is the object of the game'



Story: Lonely and wealthy banker Nicholas Von Orton recieves a strange present from his brother in his birthday: an entry to unusual entertaimnent from the company CRS. He visits the place and the most strange events start to happen to him.

The Twist: Everything that happened was planned and paid by his brother for an elaborate birthday present. And I mean everything: the killing of his brother, the kidnapping and the attempted suicide.

'Who knows the secrets of the human heart?'



Story: A british soldier is kidnapped by IRA terrorists and befriends of one of his captors, whom he asks to look after his girfriend, Dil, if something happens. When the abduction ends up in the worst way, the irishman escapes to find Dil.

The Twist: Dil was a man!

Story: A couple moves the former orphanage where the wife was raised, planning to open it again for disabled children. While in the orphanage, their son, Simón starts to communicate with some imaginary friends and one day he disappears. The mother then suspects of a ghost boy with a bag over his head.

The Twist: The son was dead and the ghost she saw was Simón's spirit. He had been accidentally trapped in a cellar by her and the noises she heard was her son trying to get out.

'Sometimes the world of the living gets mixed up with the world of the dead'



Story: A woman, who lives with her photosensitive children in a dark mansion starts to believe her home is haunted by ghosts.

The Twist: They were the ghosts. The woman and the two kids; and the people they believed were dead were actually alive people who had bought the house

'Most people are so ungrateful to be alive'



Story: Two men wake up in a bathroom, chained to pipes and with a dead man between them. They are the new victims of serial killer 'Jigsaw', and the men must follow some rules and get involve in the psycho's game in order to survive.

The Twist:Jigsaw was always in the room, disguised as the dead man.

'Everything has a weakness'



Story: A reverend who lost his faith and his family (brother and two children), find crop circles in their farm, a sign from inhabitants of other worlds, who are ready to attack humans.

The Twist: After prepairing for the worst, the family realises that water is toxic for the aliens, who just leave Planet Earth

'If the world is round, why is a frozen lake flat?'



Story: A married couple are in Venice after the recent dead of their little girl when they meet two elderly sisters, one who claims to be a psychic and to be able to comunicate with their daughter. At the same time, a serial killer is on the loose in the place.

The Twist:The little figure the husband saw was the serial killer and, from the begining, he had been experiencing flashes of his own death.

'A little guilt goes a long way'



Story: Trevor Reznik is a machinist of a factory who suffers from insomnia and hasn't sleep in a year. The only people he trusts are a prostitute and a single mother. His partners don't like him, but a strange man named Ivan appears and begins to stalk him, which leads Trevor to believe that the man wants to kill him.

The Twist:Ivan never existed, he was a product of Trevor's mind, just like some other people he new and places. Ivan represents Trevor's guilt after a hit and run accident involving a little boy

'I won't let anyone come between us any more'



Story: Two college friends, Marie and Alexa go on vacation to Alexa's house. The night of the arrival, a sadistic killer breaks into the house, slaughters the family and kidnaps Alexa. Marie then must hide from the psycho and find her friend.

The Twist:There was not such killer. Marie has some sort of an identity disorder in which her other personality was a murderer. She actually killed her friend's family and all the other people.

'What is a ghost? A tragedy condemned to repeat itself time and again? An instant of pain, perhaps. Something dead which still seems to be alive. An emotion suspended in time. Like a blurred photograph. Like an insect trapped in amber'



Story: A boy named Carlos arrives in an orphanage after his father died in the Spanish Civil War. There he discovers that the school is haunted by the ghost of a boy named Santi and that the place lots of dark and dangerous secrets.

The Twist:We all believe Jaime was Santi's killer, but it turned out to be Jacinto.

'We all lie to ourselves to be happy'



Story: Leonard, a man who suffers from short-term memory loss, attempts to find his wife's murderer using notes and tattoos.

The Twist: Leonard's wife had actually survived the attack and used his condition to kill her by an insulin overdose.

'It's hard for many people to believe that there are extraordinary things inside themselves, as well as others'



Story: David Dunn survives a horrific train crash without a single scratch. After that, a dark figure named Elijah Price approaches him with the theory that Dunn is Invincible.

The Twist: Dunn was invincible and all the incidents he had suffered were caused by Price, who wanted to find an 'unbreakable man'.

'Guilt is like a bag of bricks. All you gotta do is set it down'



Story: An ambicious lawyer is hired by a bizarre character who turns out to be lucifer himself.

The Twist: Kevin, the lawyer, is Satan's son; and Christabella is his half sister. The devil wants the half brother and sister to concieve the Antichrist; but, Kevin ruins his plans by shooting himself in the head. He then wakes up in a previous trial.

"I know I can do it," Todd Downey said, helping himself to another ear of corn from the steaming bowl. "I'm sure that in time, every bit of her will be gone and her death will be a mystery... even to me."



Story: Lonely writer Mort Rainey is stalked by a mysterious man named John Shooter, who accuses Mort of having stolen his story. While Rainey tries to find the evidence that proves the story is his, Shooter becomes more and more violent.

The Twist: There was no Shooter. He was a figment of his own personality. The part of Mort that wanted to kill his ex-wife. So he does and rewrites the story, just as Shooter demanded.

'Sometimes we don't do things we want to do so that others won't know we want to do them'



Story: In an isolated village, the inhabitants are afraid of the creatures that live in the surrounding woods; though there is a pact between them and the creatures: people do not enter the woods; creatures do not enter the village. But when a man tries to go to town to get meddical supplies, the pact dissapears and the monsters threaten the townspeople's quiet lives.

The Twist: There were not such creatures. The patriarchs of the village made the up to protect the inhabitants from the danger of the world; as they had all lost someone in the city. The feared monsters were just people in creepy costumes.

'You can't deny yourself forever'



Story: Psychologist Dr. Margaret Matheson and her physicist partner, Tom Buckley are specialists in investigating wheather paranormal phenomena are or not a fraud. When the most famous psychic, Simon Silver, appears after years of absence, Tom becomes obsessed in trying to unmask him as a fraud.

The Twist:Silver was a fraud; and he could see. Tom was actually a psychic, but he never told anyone.
