The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Conservation Training Center, frequently referred to as NCTC, leads the nation with training and education for natural resource managers to meet the goal of conserving fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the benefit of the American public.

We serve the conservation community at large and the public through an array of projects and initiatives.
Train Conservation Professionals
Provides training opportunities for the Service, DOI, and other Federal and non-federal partners in conservation policies and regulations, applied landscape conservation, climate science, leadership and management, partnerships and communications, and more.
Host Meetings and Events
NCTC is available as a venue for our conservation partners to host meetings and events.
Provide a Conservation Library
The USFWS Library serves the Fish and Wildlife Service community to support research, learning, and science excellence.
Manage the USFWS Museum and Archives
The USFWS Museum and Archives house films, photos, and documents chronicling the rich heritage of wildlife conservation.
