Kenya Airways & Oman Air have extended their codeshare agreement!

The flag carrier of Kenya, Kenya Airways, and the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, Oman Air, have expanded their already existing codeshare cooperation. Effective since 01 October 2019, the codeshare expansion allows Oman Air to place its "WY"-code on Kenya Airways operated flights between Nairobi and Entebbe (Uganda) as well as between Nairobi and Johannesburg (South Africa). In return, Kenya Airways places its "KQ"-code on Oman Air's flights between Muscat and Karachi (Pakistan) as well as between Muscat and Lahore (Pakistan).
The following destinations will be added, subject to government and regulatory approvals for Oman Air passengers traveling beyond
Nairobi to Dar Es Salam, Tanzania and for Kenya Airways passengers travelling beyond Muscat to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and the Indian cities of Bangalore, Chennai, New Delhi and Hyderabad.
Oman Air and Kenya Airways commenced their codeshare agreement covering services between
Muscat and Nairobi in August 2017.

Kenya Airways & Oman Air signed a codeshare agreement!

Kenya's flag carrier, Kenya Airways, and the national airline of Oman, Oman Air, have signed a codeshare agreement. The new partnership, which became effective on 03 July 2017, allows Kenya Airways to put its "KQ"-code on Oman Air flights between Muscat International Airport (MCT) in Muscat and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi. Oman Air, which launched flights to Kenya in March 2017, operates four weekly return flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays on the route.

Oman Air to launch flights between Muscat <> Nairobi!

According to aviation specialists routesonline.com, the national airline of Oman, Oman Air, is set to launch flights between Muscat International Airport (MCT) in Muscat and Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) on 27 March 2017. The airline will operate four weekly flights on board a Boeing 737-800 to Kenya's capital.

The readers of the UK travel magazine Wanderlust voted Singapore Airlines the best airline 2012 in the "Top Airline" category in the 2012 Wanderlust Travel Awards. The flag carrier of Oman, Oman Air, became second, while Air New Zealand was voted third.

Oman Air to change Tanzania flight schedule

The national airline of Oman, Oman Air, is increasing its service to Zanzibar from 3 weekly to 5 weekly from 25 March 2012. The flight continues from Zanzibar to Dar Es Salaam. The overall service to Dar Es Salaam remains daily, although nonstop in both direction will operate twice weekly instead of four.
  • Muscot (MCT) 10:30hrs > 14:50hrs Zanzibar (ZNZ) 15:40hrs > Dar Es Salaam (DAR) 16:15hrs
  • Dar Es Salaam (DAR) 17:15hrs > Muscat (MCT) 23:40hrs
  • Muscat (MCT) 10:50hrs > Dar Es Salaam (DAR) 15:00hrs
  • Dar Es Salaam (DAR) 16:00hrs – Muscat (MCT) 22:25hrs
Oman Air operates scheduled domestic and international passenger services, as well as regional air taxi and charter flights. The airline's hub is Muscat International Airport. Omain Air currently operates flights to Cairo, Dar Es Salaam and Zanzibar in Africa, as well as to 17 destinations in South Asia, 14 destinations in Southwest Asia and to 6 destinations (Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Milan, Zürich & London) in Europe.
