Also lastly, someone seeing your IP does nothing. IPs are dynamic for 99% of users and even if it was a static it wouldn't be easy to find out your real location. At most it would show the general ZIP code. Only known IPs will reveal the true location i.e. if you're at a college dorm or inside another public building.
There's not much people would be able to do with an IP besides that. If you're running a program which has traffic coming in and said program uses a specific port and is vulnerable due to an exploit, then your IP could be exploited, but only for as long as you have it. IPs refresh every 24-48h and whenever you restart the modem. Again, delete all of this if you bothered reading it. Or delete it without reading.
