Abstract

The invention relates to plumbing fixtures, specifically to a design for a toilet having a tank for water. The invention provides the specific pressure necessary for efficient flushing and for discharging a liquid onto the entire cleanable surface of a toilet bowl depending on the degree to which said surface has been soiled. The present device comprises a tank for a liquid, which is connected to jets disposed within the toilet cavity, a flush activator, a shut-off tap for supplying the liquid from the tank to the jets, and a pipe for supplying the liquid under pressure. The cleanable inner surface of a toilet bowl has a shape that tapers from top to bottom; the jets are disposed in a supply manifold, which is disposed in the upper part of the toilet bowl along the perimeter of the base of said upper part such that the jets are oriented toward the cleanable surface of the bowl so as to make it possible for streams from the jets to fall upon the entire cleanable surface of the toilet bowl; and the shut-off tap for supplying the liquid from the tank to the jets is in the form of a glandless tap having a valve. The shut-off tap has two open positions that differ in terms of flow section area, and said shut-off tap is disposed in the lower part of the tank and is directly connected to the supply manifold without intermediate pipes; the flush activator is in the form of a mechanism for manually operating the shut-off tap for supplying the liquid from the tank to the jets, and the initial position of a control member of said mechanism corresponds to the closed position of the shut-off tap and is set by a return mechanism that is designed to return the control member from the terminal positions thereof to the initial position.
