Definitions
- interlocked brake device Conventionally, as a brake device for a motorcycle, there is a so-called interlocked brake device (CBS: “Combined” Brake System).
- CBS interlocked brake device
- eCBS electronically controlled interlocking brake devices
- the mechanical interlocking brake device is a device in which front and rear brake devices are connected by a hydraulic circuit and mechanical elements.
- the brake fluid pressure is set so that the braking force is distributed to the front and rear brake devices at a predetermined ratio (for example, front 6: rear 4).
- Examples of mechanical interlocking brake devices include the following (see Patent Document 1).
- This is a brake device that can increase the braking force distribution of the rear wheels when the brake pedal is operated.
- the first master cylinder that is operated by the brake lever is connected to the brake caliper of the front wheel, and the mechanical servo mechanism that generates the brake hydraulic pressure by the operation of the brake caliper conforms to the braking force distribution characteristics of the front and rear wheels. Further, it is connected to the brake caliper of the rear wheel via a pressure control valve that reduces the braking force of the rear wheel.
- the brake hydraulic pressure from the second master cylinder operated by the brake pedal is transmitted to the brake caliper of the rear wheel via the mechanical servo mechanism and the pressure control valve, and at the same time, the pressure reduction characteristic of the pressure control valve is changed to change the rear wheel The maximum braking force is increased.
- the rising phenomenon is a phenomenon in which the two-wheeled vehicle tries to get up when a braking force is generated in the front brake while the two-wheeled vehicle is traveling on a curve in a tilted state.
- braking force is generated in the front brake device even when only the rear brake device is operated while traveling on a curve.
- a rising phenomenon occurs in the two-wheeled vehicle, making it difficult to travel according to the rider's intention.
- the present invention has an object to make it difficult for a rising phenomenon to occur even when a two-wheeled vehicle equipped with an interlocking brake device is running on a curve.
- the purpose is merely an example, and the present invention should not be construed as being limited by the purpose.
- the first means is a braking force control method for a two-wheeled vehicle interlocking brake device, which detects or calculates the lean angle of the two-wheeled vehicle, and when the lean angle exceeds a predetermined value,
- the configuration is such that the distribution of braking force to the front and rear braking devices is changed.
- the braking force of the front brake device is reduced according to the lean angle, even if a brake operation is performed on the rear brake device, the braking force generated in the front brake device is reduced compared to normal driving Is done. For this reason, the rising phenomenon of the two-wheeled vehicle can be effectively suppressed.
- the second means adopts a structure in which the braking force distribution of the front brake device is changed in accordance with the lean angle in addition to the structure of the first means.
- the third means adopts a structure in which the braking force distribution of the front brake device is reduced as the lean angle increases in addition to the structure of the first or second means.
- the fourth means adopts a structure in which the braking force of the rear brake device is not changed when the braking force distribution is changed, in addition to the structure of any of the first to third means.
- the change of the braking force distribution is started almost simultaneously with the brake operation by the rider.
- the change of the braking force distribution is applied to at least one of the front brake device and the rear brake device, which is larger than the predetermined braking force. It is configured to be executed only when power is generated.
- the change of the braking force distribution is configured to end at the end of the lean state or after a predetermined time has elapsed from this end. .
- the eighth means in addition to any configuration of the first means to the seventh means, at the end of the braking force distribution change control, the difference between the braking force distribution in the normal state and the changed braking force distribution is calculated, A configuration is adopted in which control is performed so that the braking force distribution in the normal state gradually approaches in a predetermined time.
- the braking force distribution is changed by changing the pressure of the brake fluid supplied to the front brake device. .
- control unit changes the braking force distribution of the front brake device in accordance with the lean angle.
- the control unit adopts a structure in which the braking force distribution of the front brake device is reduced as the lean angle increases.
- the control unit adopts a structure in which the braking force of the rear brake device is unchanged when the braking force distribution is changed. Yes.
- the change of the braking force distribution by the control unit is started almost simultaneously with the brake operation by the rider.
- the change of the braking force distribution by the control unit is caused by a predetermined braking force on at least one of the front brake device and the rear brake device.
- the configuration is also executed only when a large braking force is generated.
- the change of the braking force distribution by the control unit is ended at the end of the lean state or after a predetermined time has elapsed from this end. Adopted.
- the control unit determines the difference between the braking force distribution in the normal state and the changed braking force distribution. Is calculated and controlled so as to gradually approach the braking force distribution in the normal state within a predetermined time.
- the change of the braking force distribution by the control unit is performed by changing the pressure of the brake fluid supplied to the front brake device. Adopted.
- the control unit determines that the front brake is applied when the brake operation force increases by the rider while the braking force distribution change control is being executed.
- the target pressure to be applied to the device is calculated based on the braking force distribution at that time, the target pressure is compared with the current pressure, and the lower pressure is applied to the front brake device.
- the lean angle detection calculation unit includes an acceleration sensor.
- a brake lever a brake pedal, a brake device before and after generating a braking force by operating force from the brake lever and the brake pedal, and any one of the tenth means to the twenty-first means
- the motorcycle is equipped with a configuration.
- FIG. 4 is a diagram showing the relationship between the lean angle and the braking force distribution of the front brake device, FIG. 6B is a diagram showing a small lean angle, and FIG. 6C shows a large lean angle.
- FIG. 6 It is a block diagram which shows the braking force control apparatus of this invention.
- FIG. 1A is a diagram showing the braking force distribution characteristics of the front brake and the rear brake by comparing the conventional braking force control with the braking force control of the present embodiment.
- the horizontal axis represents the braking force BFR generated in the rear brake device (rear wheel), and the vertical axis represents the braking force BFF generated in the front brake device.
- a one-dot chain line C1 in the figure is a diagram when it is assumed that the braking force distribution of the front and rear wheels is always a constant value (for example, front 6: rear 4). When such a braking force distribution is performed, the front and rear braking force distributions do not change even if the braking force increases.
- the lean angle can be calculated based on information from acceleration sensors (lateral G and vertical G sensors) attached to the two-wheeled vehicle, for example.
- the braking force distribution to the front wheels is controlled to decrease when a predetermined braking force is exceeded (solid line C2 in the figure). For this reason, the actual braking force diagram C2 gradually becomes lower than the constant braking force distribution diagram C1 as the braking force increases.
- the braking force distribution characteristics are those of the conventional interlocking brake device. That is, it is based on control that does not take into account the lean angle of the motorcycle.
- the braking force control method according to the present embodiment when the lean angle is generated (during cornering), the braking force distribution to the front brake device is further reduced.
- Two diagrams C3 and C4 indicated by broken lines in the drawing show braking force distribution by the braking force control method according to the present embodiment.
- the braking force distribution is the same as that of the diagram C2 of the conventional interlocking brake device.
- the diagram C3 moves downward with respect to the diagram C2.
- This diagram C3 shows the braking force distribution characteristics when a small lean angle is generated in the two-wheeled vehicle.
- the diagram C4 shows the braking force distribution characteristics when a large lean angle is generated in the two-wheeled vehicle.
- the braking force control of the present embodiment is executed, and the distribution of the braking force to the front brake device is reduced.
- the diagram C4 is located below the diagram C2, which is the characteristic of the conventional braking force distribution, over the entire range of the braking force of the rear brake device.
- FIG. 1 two types of diagrams C3 and C4 are shown as an example when a lean angle is generated, but the present invention is not limited to this. That is, three or more types of braking force distribution characteristics may be used depending on the magnitude of the lean angle.
- FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the time course of the relationship between the pressures applied to the front and rear brake devices when the two-wheeled vehicle transitions from the lean state L to the upright state U. That is, the horizontal axis is time T, and the vertical axis is the pressure P applied to the front and rear brake devices.
- the long broken line R in the figure is a diagram showing the passage of time of the pressure applied to the rear brake device.
- the pressure of the rear brake device increases from 0 to R1 from time 0 to time T1, and the pressure R1 is maintained from time T1 to time T4. Further, the pressure increases from R1 to R2 between time T4 and time T5, and further, the pressure is maintained at R2 after time T5. Further, it is assumed that the lean angle of the two-wheeled vehicle becomes 0 (upright state) at time T2.
- the brake pedal for operating the rear brake device is gradually depressed (T0 ⁇ T1), and the brake pedal depression amount is maintained for a predetermined time (T1 ⁇ T4). Thereafter, the brake pedal is further depressed (T4 ⁇ T5), and a series of brake operations for maintaining the brake pedal depression amount again (T5 ⁇ ) is performed.
- the said brake operation is an example for demonstrating this embodiment, and this invention is not limited to this.
- the pressure applied to the rear brake device is applied to the front brake device by the function of the interlocking brake device, and a predetermined braking force is generated.
- the solid line S in the figure is a diagram showing the pressure applied to the front brake device in the conventional interlocking brake device.
- the pressure rises linearly to pressure S1.
- the pressure of the front brake device is maintained at S1.
- the ratio of the pressure applied to the rear brake device and the pressure applied to the front brake is constant.
- the braking force distribution of the front and rear brake devices is also constant.
- the pressure increases linearly from S1 to S2, and after time T5, the pressure is maintained at S2.
- the diagram indicated by the short broken line A shows the characteristics of the pressure applied to the front brake device when the braking force distribution change control according to this embodiment is activated.
- the motorcycle is in a lean state, and the pressure applied to the front brake device is also lower than the pressure applied by the conventional interlocking brake device. That is, at time T1, a pressure A1 lower than the pressure S1 applied to the front brake of the conventional interlocking brake device is applied.
- the braking force distribution of the front and rear brake devices changes.
- the braking force of the front brake device is reduced from the braking force in the upright state. As a result, the rising phenomenon of the motorcycle is effectively prevented.
- the pressure to the front brake device is reduced at a constant rate until time T2 when the lean state ends. And the change control of braking force distribution is complete
- the termination process of the braking force distribution change control is started simultaneously with the end of the lean state, and control is performed so that the pressure difference disappears after a predetermined time elapses. There is no sense of incongruity.
- the end process from the end of the lean state to the end of the braking force distribution change control is a method of gradually ending using a predetermined time (for example, 5 seconds) from the end of the lean state, or changing the time for the ending process according to the pressure difference. That is, when the pressure difference is large, the termination process is completed using a longer time than when the pressure difference is small.
- the control after time T3 is the same as that in the case of the braking force distribution change control (solid line S) for the conventional interlocking brake device.
- FIG. 3 is a modification of the braking force distribution change control disclosed in FIG.
- the horizontal axis represents time T
- the vertical axis represents the pressure P applied to the front and rear brake devices.
- the end timing of the braking force distribution change control is different from that in FIG. That is, the motorcycle changes from the lean state to the upright state at time T22, but the changed braking force distribution does not change at this point.
- the termination process of the braking force distribution change control is started.
- FIG. 2 the horizontal axis represents time T
- the vertical axis represents the pressure P applied to the front and rear brake devices.
- the end timing of the braking force distribution change control is different from that in FIG. That is, the motorcycle changes from the lean state to the upright state at time T22, but the changed braking force distribution does not change at this point.
- the braking force distribution change control ends in the period from time T23 to time T24. As described above, at the time T22 when the lean state is eliminated, the braking force distribution change control is maintained as it is. Since the end of the braking force distribution change control is started when the lean state is resolved and time T23 is reached, the rider will not feel discomfort when the lean state of the motorcycle is resolved. .
- FIG. 4 is a flowchart for explaining the braking force control method of this embodiment.
- the presence or absence of a brake operation is determined (step S1).
- the brake operation is not performed (N in Step S1)
- the presence / absence of the brake operation is repeatedly determined (Step S1).
- the brake operation is performed (Y in step S1)
- information regarding the lean angle is obtained (step S2).
- the braking force distribution change control of this embodiment is executed.
- the target pressure Pnew to be applied to the front brake device is calculated so as to achieve the braking force distribution when the lean angle is occurring (step S4).
- This target pressure Pnew is a pressure lower than the pressure during traveling in the upright state.
- step S5 the target pressure Pnew is output (step S5), and the pressure applied to the front brake device is reduced. At this time, the pressure applied to the rear brake device is unchanged. As a result, the braking force generated by the front brake device is reduced, and the rising of the two-wheeled vehicle is suppressed.
- step S6 it is determined again whether or not the lean angle exceeds a predetermined value. If the lean angle exceeds a predetermined value (Y in step S6), the target pressure Pnew is calculated and output again (steps S4 and S5). This is because it is determined that the lean state continues. On the other hand, when the lean angle does not exceed the predetermined value (N in step S6), it can be determined that the two-wheeled vehicle has returned to the upright state, and thus the braking force distribution change control of the present embodiment is finished.
- FIG. 5 is a flowchart showing a modification of the braking force distribution change control disclosed in FIG.
- the basic control method is the same as that in the example of FIG. 4 except that it is assumed that a brake operation is performed during the braking force distribution change control. That is, after the target pressure Pnew is calculated (step S24), the target pressure Pnew and the current pressure Pcurrent are compared (step S25). If the target pressure Pnew is lower than the current pressure Pcurrent (N in step S25), the target pressure Pnew is output as the pressure to be applied to the front brake device (step S27).
- the target pressure Pnew is higher than the current pressure Pcurrent (Y in step S25)
- the increase in the brake operation force is when the rear brake device is operated so that the rider generates a larger braking force. If the brake operation force has not increased (N in step S26), the current pressure Pcurrent is output. The current pressure Pcurrent is a pressure lower than the target pressure Pnew. Conversely, when the brake operation force is increasing (Y in step S26), the target pressure Pnew is output. This means that the pressure applied to the front brake device increases from the current pressure Pcurrent to the target pressure Pnew, but does not increase any more.
- FIG. 6A qualitatively shows the relationship between the lean angle and the braking force of the front brake device
- the horizontal axis is the lean angle LA
- the vertical axis is the braking force distribution BFDF to the front brake device.
- FIGS. 6B to 6D are diagrams for explaining the lean angle.
- a predetermined brake operation is performed on the rear brake device.
- FIG. 6B when the lean angle is not generated in the motorcycle 1, only the load Zmax in the vertical (Z axis (Z Axis)) direction (Z Dir.) Is generated at the center of gravity of the motorcycle.
- the load in the horizontal (Y axis (Y Axis)) direction (Y Dir.) Is “0”.
- the braking force distribution change control is not performed. For this reason, the braking force is generated in the front brake device by the distribution of the braking force when traveling in an upright state.
- the braking force generated in the front brake device is controlled to be reduced.
- the case where the braking force distribution decreases as a linear function having a negative proportionality constant with respect to the lean angle is shown. For this reason, the braking force generated by the front brake device is smaller in the case of the large lean angle L2 (see FIG. 6D) than in the small lean angle L1 (see FIG. 6C).
- FIG. 6C compared to the case of FIG.
- the component force Y1 in the Y-axis direction is generated, and the component force in the Z-axis direction is reduced accordingly.
- the component force in the Y-axis direction increases to Y2 as compared with the example of FIG. 6C, and accordingly, the component force in the Z-axis direction further decreases.
- the braking force distribution change control is performed when the lean angle exceeds a predetermined value. This is because if there is only a slight lean angle, the braking force distribution is not changed, and the two-wheeled vehicle often does not rise. For this reason, as a condition for performing the change control of the braking force distribution, for example, control may be performed only when the lean angle is 10 ° or more. On the other hand, when the lean angle occurs, the braking force distribution change control may be executed regardless of the magnitude of the lean angle.
- FIG. 7 is a block diagram showing the motorcycle 1 and shows a braking force control device 3 for realizing the braking force distribution change control according to this embodiment.
- the braking force control device 3 controls the braking force distribution of the front and rear brake devices 11f and 11r based on information from the lean angle detection calculation unit 5 that detects or calculates the lean angle and the lean angle detection calculation unit 5.
- a control unit 7. Further, the following components are connected to the braking force control device 3.
- the front brake lever 9f and the rear brake pedal 9r that input information related to the brake operation to the control unit 7, the actuator or hydraulic circuit 15 that operates based on the signal output from the control unit 7, and the actuator or hydraulic pressure Front and rear brake devices 11f and 11r that generate a braking force by the operation of the circuit 15 are provided. Further, the front and rear brake devices 11f and 11r are provided with a front pressure sensor 13f and a rear pressure sensor 13r. This is for detecting the pressure applied at that time when the front and rear brake devices 11f and 11r are hydraulically operated. When the braking force of the front and rear brake devices 11f and 11r is controlled by complete electronic control, it is necessary to equip a position sensor or a load sensor in place of the pressure sensors 13f and 13r.
- the operation force F is input by the front brake lever 9f or the rear brake pedal 9r.
- the control unit 7 calculates a braking force corresponding to the input operation force and outputs it to the actuator or the hydraulic circuit 15.
- the actuator or hydraulic circuit 15 generates a braking force in the front brake device 11f and the rear brake device 11r based on the input signal.
- the braking force control device 3 of the present embodiment is an interlocking brake device. For this reason, even if only the front brake lever 9f is operated, a braking force is generated in the rear brake device 11r. On the other hand, even when only the rear brake pedal 9r is operated, a braking force is generated in the front brake device 11f.
- the lean angle of the two-wheeled vehicle 1 is acquired by the lean angle detection calculation unit 5. Information about the acquired lean angle is transmitted to the control unit 7 as a signal.
- the control unit 7 calculates the target pressure described above when the acquired lean angle exceeds a predetermined value. This target pressure is a reduced pressure to be applied to the front brake device 11f. Based on the calculated target pressure, the control unit 7 controls the actuator or the hydraulic circuit 15. Then, the pressure of the front brake device 11f is reduced, and the two-wheeled vehicle is prevented from getting up.
- the present invention can be used for controlling braking force distribution for an interlocking brake device.

Abstract
