前記カバー部材は、少なくとも一部が前記ドライブピニオンギヤの側方かつ前記デフリングギヤの上方に配置される底部と、前記底部の前記ドライブピニオンギヤとは反対側の前記デフリングギヤの軸方向に延びる端部から前記デフリングギヤの径方向の外側に延出される遮蔽部とを有する作動油受容部を含み、
前記底部は、前記ドライブピニオンギヤの側方かつ前記デフリングギヤの上方で前記ドライブピニオンギヤと前記デフリングギヤとの噛合部側に作動油を導くように前記遮蔽部から離間するにつれて下方に傾斜する第1のスロープ部を有することを特徴とする。
Claims (7)
- 変速機と、前記変速機からの動力が伝達されるドライブピニオンギヤと、前記ドライブピニオンギヤの下方に配置されると共に該ドライブピニオンギヤに噛合するデフリングギヤと、前記デフリングギヤに連結されるデファレンシャルギヤと、前記デファレンシャルギヤの少なくとも一部を覆うカバー部材とを備えた動力伝達装置において、
前記カバー部材は、少なくとも一部が前記ドライブピニオンギヤの側方かつ前記デフリングギヤの上方に配置される底部と、前記底部の前記ドライブピニオンギヤとは反対側の前記デフリングギヤの軸方向に延びる端部から前記デフリングギヤの径方向の外側に延出される遮蔽部とを有する作動油受容部を含み、
前記底部は、前記ドライブピニオンギヤの側方かつ前記デフリングギヤの上方で前記ドライブピニオンギヤと前記デフリングギヤとの噛合部側に作動油を導くように前記遮蔽部から離間するにつれて下方に傾斜する第1のスロープ部を有することを特徴とする動力伝達装置。 - 前記作動油受容部の前記底部は、前記軸方向において前記第1のスロープ部に対して前記デファレンシャルギヤとは反対側に配置されると共に前記遮蔽部に近づくにつれて下方に傾斜する第2のスロープ部を有し、
前記第1および第2のスロープ部は、前記軸方向において前記デファレンシャルギヤに近づくにつれて下方に傾斜することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の動力伝達装置。 - 前記ドライブピニオンギヤは、前記軸方向に対して平行に配置されるカウンタ軸に連結されており、
前記第2のスロープ部の前記カウンタ軸側の縁部の少なくとも一部には、上方に向けて延びる壁部が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の動力伝達装置。 - 前記カウンタ軸は、前記ドライブピニオンギヤと所定の間隔を空けて配置されると共に前記変速機からの動力が伝達されるカウンタドリブンギヤを有し、
前記壁部は、前記軸方向における前記ドライブピニオンギヤと前記カウンタドリブンギヤとの間で前記ドライブピニオンギヤの外径より前記カウンタ軸に近接するように配置されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の動力伝達装置。 - 前記作動油受容部は、前記ドライブピニオンギヤに対して前記変速機の入力軸とは反対側に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1から4の何れか一項に記載の動力伝達装置。
- 前記変速機、前記ドライブピニオンギヤ、前記デフリングギヤおよび前記デファレンシャルギヤを収容するケースを更に備え、
前記カバー部材は、前記ケース内を前記デフリングギヤおよび前記デファレンシャルギヤが配置されるデフ室と作動油が貯留される作動油貯留室とに区画することを特徴とする請求項1から5の何れか一項に記載の動力伝達装置。 - 前記カバー部材は、前記デフリングギヤの最下点からみて該デフリングギヤの主たる回転方向の下流側、かつ前記ドライブピニオンギヤと前記デフリングギヤとの前記噛合部よりも前記主たる回転方向の上流側に形成された開口部を有することを特徴とする請求項1から6の何れか一項に記載の動力伝達装置。
