Abstract

The invention relates to a cross-country ski (1) having a front portion (3), which is located in front of a binding portion (2), and a rear portion (4), which is located behind the binding portion, wherein the ski is waisted over its entire length (2, 3, 4) as seen in the skiing direction, wherein the shovel (5), which is oriented in the direction of travel, and the rear end (6) are wider than the narrower part running therebetween, wherein the region of the shovel (5) is wider than the region of the end (6), wherein the widening of the shovel (5) in relation to the narrowest portion of the waisted region is at least 2 cm, and wherein the widening of the end (6) in relation to the narrowest portion of the waisted region is at least 0.5 cm, the waist being more pronounced in the front portion (3).
