DESIGN FOR A STOVE-PLATE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,385, dated March 15, 1898.

Application filed May 15, 1897. Serial No. 636,794. Term of patent 7 years.

Be it known that I, HENRY M. LEWIS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Mansfield, in the county of Riohland and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Stove-Register, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.

Figure 1 is a side elevation of a stove plate or panel to which my design has been applied. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section of the same, partly broken away.

The leading feature of my design consists of a rectangular stove plate or panel having a depression formed therein with a circular convex shaped imperforate register plate seated in the bottom of said depression having a knob or handle projected therefrom.

In the drawings, 1 represents a rectangular stove-plate which may form a door or panel of the stove.

2 represents a depression formed in said plate.

3 represents a circular convex-shaped register-plate seated in the bottom of the depres sion 2, said plate having a knob or handle 4 projecting out into the neighborhood of the front surface of the stove plate or panel.

\Vhat I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design for a stove-plate substantially as shown and described.
