Abstract

La presente tecnología se refiere a un dispositivo de reproducción, un método de reproducción y un medio de registro que permite que el contenido tenga un rango dinámico amplio de brillo o brillantez a ser desplegado con una brillantez apropiada. Un medio de registro en el cual el dispositivo de reproducción de un aspecto de la presente tecnología realiza la reproducción, registra los datos codificados de un vídeo extendido que es un vídeo que tiene un segundo intervalo de brillo que es más amplio que un primer intervalo de brillo, la información característica de brillo que representa una característica de brillo del vídeo extendido, y la información de definición de conversión de brillo utilizada cuando se realice una conversión de brillo del vídeo extendido a un vídeo estándar que es un vídeo que tiene el primer intervalo de brillo. El dispositivo de reproducción decodifica los datos codificados y los convierte al video extendido obtenido por decodificación de los datos codificados al video estándar en base a la información de definición de conversión de brillo. Los datos del video extendido y la información de las características de brillo o brillantez se generan o producen hacia un dispositivo de despliegue que es capaz de desplegar el video extendido y los datos del video estándar se generan hacia un dispositivo de despliegue que no es capaz de desplegar el video extendido. La presente tecnología se puede aplicar a un reproductor que reproduce el contenido.
