PURPOSE:To efficiently execute fine granulation of molten metal by blowing atomizing medium having small apex angle from upper part against the molten metal flowing from a tundish and also blowing the atomizing medium having large apex angle from lower part. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal 20 is flowed from a discharging hole 21 in the tundish 21 and the atomizing medium in a tank 12 is supplied to the upper side atomizing nozzle 24 by a pressurizing pump 11 and the annular atomizing medium is blown to the molten metal flow 26 from upper part. At the same time, the atomizing medium is supplied to the lower side atomizing nozzle 25 and the atomizing medium is blown to the molten metal flow 26 from lower part. The apex angle of the upper side atomizing nozzle 24 is made to 20-45 deg. and the apex angle of the lower side atomizing angle 25 is made to more than the apex angle of the upper side atomizing nozzle 24 and <=180 deg.C. By this method, the molten metal 20 is not jumped upward and the molten metal flow 26 can be efficiently made to fine granule.
