Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the resolution by constituting a fluorescent layer with first deposition layer composed of fluorescent crystal where the size of the crystal particle is smaller than predetermined level and second deposition layer composed of pillar crystal of alkali halide fluorescent material. CONSTITUTION:X-ray fluorescent multiplier tube is comprised of a vacuum casing 1, an input face 3 arranged in said casing 1, an output fluorescent face 4 and accelerating electrode 5, while a focusing electrode 6 is formed on the inner face of the tubular section of said casing 1. The fluorescent face 10 has first deposition layer where alkali halide fluorescent crystal having the average crystal particle diameter smaller than 15mum is laid to the depth 1/10 that of the fluorescent layer, and second deposition layer composed of alkali halide fluorescent pillar crystal grown to produce the entire depth of 150-350mum. A photoelectric face 11 is formed on said fluorescent face 10.
