Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve responsiveness of an antiroll system by operating lateral acceleration of a vehicle and controlling a suspension system through a steering angle and a vehicle speed. CONSTITUTION:A signal from a steering angle detector 1 and a vehicle speed detector 2 is applied to a lateral acceleration operation circuit 3. A lateral acceleration of a vehicle is operated by this circuit based on a steering angle and a vehicle speed, and output of this circuit is applied to comparators 4A and 4B. A fact that a lateral acceleration has exceeded a fixed value is detected by the comparators 4A and 4B, and a damping force controlling device 5A of the right and left sides of the vehicle, a spring constant adjusting devices 6A, 5B and 6B are controlled respectively. With this, the vehicle is prevented from rolling as a suspension system located on a side of the vehicle where a load is applied by the lateral acceleration stands against the load. Comparing with other system detecting the lateral acceleration this system is improved in its responsiveness as the lateral acceleration is operated by the steering angle and the vehicle speed.
