Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality for a TV camera using a solid state image sensor, by performing the charge transfer with the clock pulse of a series, scanning the same electrode train and interpolating the signals added and interpolated after an addition. CONSTITUTION:The same electrode train is used in both odd and even fields of an image pickup element, and R and B are arranged sequentially. The line sequential signal is transferred to an input terminal 40 by the clock pulse of a series, and this signal is processed by 1H delaying circuits 41, 44 and 45, a switch pulse generating circuit 42, a signal switch circuit 43 plus adder circuits 46 and 47 respectively. Then the output of the circuit 43 is turned into a simultaneous signal of two series. For this signal, the same signal is repeated twice each and the additive average is obtained to the 1-scan preceding signal by further delays 44 and 45. For the R and B signals of output terminals 48 and 49, the interpolation signal which received an additive average is delivered. In such a way, the picture quality is increassed.
