Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide the titled device capable of widening an adhesion amount control range of a wiping apparatus and imparting a uniform plating layer comprising arranging static pressure pads opposed so as to hold a strip therebetween within a predetermined distance above a position where a wiping nozzle is disposed. CONSTITUTION:A strip 1 on which a molten metal is adhered by immersing the same in a molten plating bath 3 is drawn up above a bath surface and a gas such as an N2 gas or the like is blown thereto from wiping nozzles 5 to wipe off the excessive plated metal. Subsequently, the strip 1 after wiping treatment is passed through static pressure pads opposedly arranged within 1,000mm. above the nozzles 5 to prevent vibration of the strip 1. That is, in a position providing the pads 7, a fluid stream 8 from the nozzles 5 and a gas stream 9 externally flowed out from a lower end side of the pads are collided with each other. Then, by confining the fluid in the vicinity thereof in space between the pads 7 and the strip 1, static pressure is increased as well as a static pressure acting area is enlarged. As the result, the vibration of the strip 1 is effectively prevented and, at the same time, a fluid amount to be supplied to the pads 7 can be reduced.
