Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify manufacture of the position detecting device by making an acceleration detector built in a position detecting pen so as to obtain a coordinate signal by integrating an acceleration signal. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted so that the signal of the acceleration detector 5 capable of detecting accelerations in the directions X and Y is sent from a lead wire 7 to an integrator 8 through the intermediary of a preamplifier 6. First the position-detecting pen 1 is moved to a starting point and the output of the integrator 8 is set at the initial. By pressing the position-detecting pen 1 on to a prescribed board surface, bias voltage is impressed on the acceleration detector 5 and next, when the pen 1 is moved while being pressed, a signal is delivered from the acceleration detector 5 in accordance with acceleration. This signal is inputted in the integrator 8 and thereby coordinate signals X and Y can be obtained.
