Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the operability and maintenability of the rolling mill by combining the bearing box with a guide piece movably in the direction of roll shaft with a roll bending device built into the guide piece. CONSTITUTION:A decrease benders 13 and 14 and increase benders 15 and 16 are built into guide pieces 11 and 12. The guide pieces 11 and 12 are provided on projected blocks 17 in such a manner as to move vertically while the benders 13, 14, 15 and 16 are supported with respective projections 16 on the projected blocks 17. Bearing boxes 9 and 10 of working rolls are slidable along with the guide pieces 11 and 12 while guided within the projected blocks 17 in such a manner as to move vertically. This mechanism simplifies rearrangement of working rolls thereby improving working efficiency.
